Vader Vs. Maul

What has Darth Vader done? I mean really...he can force choke your ass...but in dual with lightsabers...well, I think he would lose to Maul. Maul has more speed, younger, more aggressive, and has a double-bladed lightsaber. Really...he would run circles around that *****.

Vader is more calculated and calm. That is what I love about Kenobi vs. Vader in ANH. They do not fight on the offensive, they simply defend themselves while waiting for their opponent to make a mistake. Maul would come running at him and Vader would parlay him until he tries some of his stupid acrobatics and then shove his saber through his chest.

Episode II is far more unbearable than Episode I. Yeah, it had Jar Jar and little Anakin, but atleast the lightsaber fight was entertaining. Episode II just flat out sucked the minute STAR WARS appeared.

I enjoy Episode I so much more than Episode II, and that's saying something.

I...actually have a soft spot for Episode II. It had all the ingredients for a really great movie. It just failed horribly to deliver.

While TPM is technically stronger (and has Neeson, and Maul), there's more I'd want to change about it than Episode II.

Episode III I hate more than any human being ever.

Here is a wild suggestion that someone should've thrown out there to Lucas while making TPM, actually have him do something evil! I mean, in the first 5 minutes of ANH you see Vader raid a diplomatic ship, killing countless soldiers, strangle Captain Antilles, and capture Leia. 30 minutes in the man has killed an entire tribe of Jawas and Luke's family. By half way point, he and his accomplice Tarkin have blown up a planet...THEY BLEW UP A ****ING PLANET

What does Maul do? Cross his arms? He is like the Dean Cain Superman for godsakes! Sure, he kills Qui-Gon, but it was a relatively fair fight (if anything he was being double teamed so how can you really hold it against him?)

Saying he is Sith isn't good enough. He looked so bad ass, but he did NOTHING AT ALL.

Lucas should've added a few scenes with him...for example on Tatioone instead of sending out droids to do his dirty work he should've maybe interrogated Shimi Skywalker or Watto as to where Qui-Gon went (and when I say interrogate, I mean Jack Bauer style). That alone would've made him ten times more feared and sinister.

Even with all the flaws Maul has he is still the best thing of that movie. Thats how much Phantom Menace sucks.

the only reason Obi won was because he jumped of the platform first.... Anakin lost because of his confidence....

If dooku and maul were mutch stronger then vader, then why would have the emperior saved Anakin's life? he would have just left him there on Mustafar....

strength and obedience doesn't necessarily reflect one's art with a lightsabre in combat.

Luke has NO official sabre training and still kicked his dad's ass...

why is everyone rating someone who couldn't take on an old obi-wan in ANH? At least Maul lost to a youthful one.

Maul's loss to obi-wan is far more credible than vader's to Luke's which is really so embarassing that i'm surprised he didn't throw himself off the edge with the emperor...

at least maul lost because he thought the victory was his, not because he made a tacticle error in a leap that a young leap could have realised was practical suicide OR was ALLOWED to help an Old Obi-wan die in ANH. How very pathetic.

no one that dumb has the right to win any sort of bout against anyone. The fact he cuts the arm off a Jedi with no lightsabre sparring training means nothing...

this vader love is misguided when you put the evidence of his bout history infront of him. His best feat was as a dark jedi, as a sith he was on the decline and continued to do so till his death.
