Kilmer is an excellent actor in some films. But IMO,I thought he was as wooden as a plank in Batman Forever, to me, he looked like he would rather be anywhere else but in that bat-suit, and was just saying the lines. Its not his fault the plot and dialogue was so crappy,of course, but at the time I thought he was a poor replacement for Michael Keaton and I still think that.
