While the costumes and makeup look great, I'm a bit worried that they couldn't find better actors than this. I mean, the Ninjak guy is decent enough; seems like an up-and-comer. But the Bloodshot dude doesn't seem to have much acting experience outside of Power Rangers. I really, REALLY want Valiant to be successful here so I hope they aim a little higher for the Harbinger movie.

First teaser!

Produced by Bat in the Sun? Didn't know that. I like their fan films.

Well that... looks like a fan film. Ugh. Maybe I was wrong to get excited about this.

Bat in the Sun's involvment certainly explains things.

So disappointing. Valiant has a rich universe of characters that could potentially rival Marvel on the big screen if they are adapted with care (I know that's a long shot, but remember, very few people knew who the Guardians of the Galaxy were before the movie). But watching that trailer made me think of that awful Night Man series from the 90s. Google that crap if you don't know what I'm talking about.

I'm a bit confused by what they're doing here. Is the web series just to build buzz for the Valiant universe and then they'll (hopefully) recast the roles with better actors if the films happen? Because I read a week or two ago that they're working on an X-O Manowar film and a property like that would require some serious talent behind it... i.e. not the people working on this crappy looking Ninjak series.

Not a fan of Hudin as a director, less so as a comics writer: let's see Marshall when it comes out in the fall and hope for the best.

I see the biggest potential for a Valiant movie in X-O Manowar, but they would have to avoid a Thor/Iron Man clonage and go full Conan meets Flash Gordon.

House Party is a f***ing classic, and I loved The Ladies Man, stupid as it was. But hopefully Marshall will show that Hudlin can handle dramatic material. Cast is certainly very good.

Anyway, Shadowman has potential to be interesting. I'll give anything set in New Orleans a chance (unless it stars Nicolas Cage), particularly stuff that delves into voodoo lore. Shadowman's more recent design is also something that could look pretty f***ing awesome on the big screen as long as their costumer knows what they're doing.

Dude looks the part... can he act?

I will say that they've done a good job with the costumes here, if nothing else.

Funny this thread pops up right when I'm getting into the Valiant Universe! Lol I hope everything works out because this universe has a ton of potential!

Shadowman is by far my favorite character!

Edit: Comics could use a solid 3rd shared superhero universe! Image and Dark Horse will never be that, so I'm rooting for Valiant!

I don’t remember XO Manowar having a lightning sword like that. Is that from the comics?

It's in the most recent revival of the character.
