Imdb is not a trustworthy source for movie news. While I'd love to see Van Damme make a comeback of some sort; it will not be with Rush Hour 3 unfortunately.

Such a shame too. Van Damme was and is actually pretty talented, he just wasted all his potential on drugs and alcohol.

That's great news if true. Suuposedly, he's tried to get his life back on the straight and narrow. That's great news as well if true. Films like Bloodsport, Kickboxer, Double Impact, Hard Target, Universal Soldier etc etc. are very fun and great throwback films.

I've never understood why people hate on him. Obviously he can't act very well, and most of his films today are straight to DVD crapfests. But nonetheless, his films were entertaining to a certain audience and he has almost, if not already, achieved cult status for his 'dance moves,' fight scenes and unintentionally funny lines.

For the life of me I dont understand why people keep saying things like Van Damme dancing instead of fighting.No disrespect,but everyone who does is mis informed.Van Damme is a european middle weight karate champion.Its funny how some people hate someone for no reason and then diss them like that.Anyway,

In my opinion, I think Cyborg, Maximum Risk, Lionheart, and Timecop are his most underrated movies.

I've always liked Van Damme too. His older movies are definitely fun, entertaining, and he has a natural charisma that few action stars have these days.

Van Damme actually makes some good DTV flicks. In Hell, Replicant, Wake of Death and Second In Command are all good/ok movies. And he has grown as an actor too. It would be cool to see Van Damme in theaters...but this rumor probably isn't true.

Timecop was definitely a great film. Van Damme was actually really decent in that film. Lionheart is a personal favourite of mine. However, the whole "my brother was lit on fire by gang members and I'm not going to get revenge on them as regulated by the Death Wish movies" thing was kind of odd. He showed some directing chops in The Quest. However, in an ironic twist, it was the non-fighting scenes that were refreshing, while the fight scenes turned out to be stale.

You are correct Furious, he was rumored and almost casted as Gambit. Good memory.

That would be great. Van Damme gets made fun of a lot around here (and at other forums) but he's made some pretty good movies.

I would have liked to see Van Damme in this one, doesn't sound likely. My favorites are: Blood Sport, Lion Heart, Kickboxer, Time Cop and Universal Soldier 2. The one that really disappointed me was The Quest. I was "let's get on with the fight scenes."

This sounds good to me. I would love to see a fight between Jackie and him. Awesome!
