Villain(s) For Sequel?

Lilith and her spawn. Strong villain and diverse band of henchmen. I'd like to see her, and them, written very icy and murderous. Sigourney Weaver please for Lilith!

Also stick Badilino in there to pave the way for Vengeance in GR3 and add a little more to the story.

Why not make the villain GR?

A fight b/w Johnny and GR for control with an add on villain who is extremely cunning and intelligent. Like Deathwatch, Blackout, or Hellgate.

You know the best part in part 1 was the transformation for me and if JB is just gonna go 'poof' and transform, that really takes one of the best elements out of the movie. I mean Hulk, and Wherewolves, even Dr. Jekyl and Mr Hyde dont transform in a blink of an eye!

/\ That could be a good aspect... but, there's not really a good way to bring that to screen and make a whole movie about it.

That could be a great inner struggle, but the character in films- especially hero films- need some source of ourside struggle as well that reflects that.

Case in point: Spider-Man 3 has a HUGE inner struggle for Peter, in the end Venom is the outside struggle that reflects that inner struggle.

I think the inner struggle in part 2 should be a very important part in the movie, maybe not the biggest challenge, but something that is integral in the movie because Ghost Rider is always about struggle against himself and the world around him.

This could be a great cameo opportunity for the Sorcerer Supreme also...

Just a thought. :P

I agree that the struggle between Johnny and GR should be a big factor in the sequel, but I think the transformation part can't be fixed...

...at first, I liked the idea that he could transform at will, but I am kinda changing my mind now....the only really good part that it works on in the film is the "Let's Ride!" moment...and I just have to say, the first transformation was AMAZING.

But, we'll see what happens.

I think the gradual ease of the transformation could also be a cool setup for the sequel... Johnny beg for control it seems at some point in the movie, maybe Zarathos give some control initially but only to start possessing and influencing JB like in the comics, that would be a great sequel, only unfortunate because this theme is already being used in SM3...

Definately like the idea of introducing Badilino in the second, developing the character, and have him turned to Vengence by the 3rd installment.

For the next I'd like seeing Blackout, if the right actor plays the part he'd be quite menacing. It could work as pg-13, so long as they film it with the intention of releasing an unrated version!

Oh, and lets please not hope for having a bunch of bad guys at once, I'd rather have a great script with one main antagonist, then some crap story revolving around a multitude of baddies.

With one bad guy we might get a couple of epic battles, instead of a bunch of pathetic ones.

I really haven't kept up with the Ghost Rider comics, but the movie and the game got me interested in the comics, so what about Jack-o-Lantern, the guy Punisher "killed" and now in the Ghost Rider arc? Is he a regular GR villain?

I guess we have to look at the obvious as well; Zarathos. They could develop the story where Ghost Rider begins to take more control over the host, become meaner and Blaze has to deal with that. I guess Ghost Rider himself could become a 'villain' as well.

I still want BH back and Vengeance though. Vengeance created by BH, peferably.

I will put in two votes. I loved the Dan Ketch GR. The first few comics of that run would make a great movie.

The second vote goes for the current movie GR vs Lillith. This would allow for just about anything to be sent after GR, a dark tone to the movie and a bit of a gratuitous bombshell for the lead villian. Not to mention you can justify anything you want in it...

My thoughts exactly...also much of her origin could be used right in the film.

In the videogame Vengeance is introduced as another Ghost Rider at the service of Mephisto, faithful to his master... this way could be a good introduction only as a support villains imho...
I really like the BH created Vengeance idea FH, really interesting parallelism between father & son and father's & son's creatures...also could explain the "mockery" of GR that was Vengeance appearance in the comics... still i think Scarecrow(the "madness") or Blackout(the "cunning evil") would be a better lead villain...especially witha good urban horror killing spree setup..

I think it's gonna be Vengeance.

(I don't read Ghost Rider, but I saw the movie) So as an average movie goer, I think it's gonna be Vengeance because after seeing Ghost eliminate his villains so quickly, I think a good match against someone of his own power.
