Not a tv series yet, but under the radar two hour tv movie /Pilot. About astranaunts in space on like a 10 yr mission...adn in their spare time, they like to play some VR.

Recording it on the dvr, but I am gonna miss some of it maybe due to weather alerts?

Oh ****, this trailer looks good.

I'm watching. It's interesting. Still unknown if the premise is good enough for a series or not.

sounds similar to the movie Sunshine

Would have been a nice summer series. 13 weeks and such but I'm not sure I would watch this like Dollhouse.

Oh, and if we ever to go into instellar space travel in the real world, don't let the commanding officer be named Pike. It's cursed! (I'm gonna sing the Doom song.)

It was alright. Nothing all too great and the ending was lacking.

I loved it. It was totally like Sunshine, but I loved Sunshine, so that's fine by me. I just wish it got picked up. :(

Fox's 'Virtuality' tanks

The two-hour premiere of Ron Moore's sci-fi pilot drew only 1.8 million viewers and received a 0.5 adult demo rating -- tying ABC's "The Goode Family" as the lowest-rated program on a major broadcast network Friday night and putting Fox into fourth place for the evening.

Well... there goes his hopes for Fox changing their minds about picking it up.

You know, if FOX had actually, say, promoted the show... maybe there would've been more viewers.

Swear to God (and I mean it) they do fail at tv and as a studio.

This is all part of Fox's master scheme. Make enough scifi that does crappy and gets cancelled that people stop asking them to make scifi. Then they can concentrate on making more high-brow comedies like What Happens in Vegas and Bride Wars. And American Idolize the entire schedule except for House.

You know. Part of this failure is on Moore's shoulders. The pilot was too open and stank of the creators saying, "we're so getting picked up! this is gold!" If there was at least more hints that there was an overall idea that they knew exactly where this was going, it probably would have had a little more success.

I think killing the main star/actor and then have him living on in VR was what probably made FOX to dump it. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a bad idea, but to do it in the pilot? No, should have been the season 1 finale, not the pilot.

And did he kill himself, was it a glitch, or did the doc do it? Pilot was okay overall.

i had no idea this aired, i was looking foward to it too. it got ZERO promotion by fox

Yep, that is true.

According to posters on imdb.com....the entire show may be VR. And it actually makes sense.

The Pilot movie was called Virtuality. As in VR?

Pike says to the woman at the very end (his VR self) something like 'Follow me through the rabbit hole' This is when she puts on his headset after he is dead.

This would explain that one CG Character who keeps killing people in the VR.

I watched it and...it was okay. I had high expectations since it came from Moore so I was a bit letdown. Still, it might've gotten better had it been picked up. Whedon's Dollhouse was pretty cruddy it's first 2 or 3 shows and was awesome by the end of it's first season.

I don't know. I think Moore is just capable of higher quality than this though. Caprica was amazing from the jump and this was just...passable. I'm honestly not gonna miss this.

geez talk about no promotion---or at least I totally missed all of the promotion somehow.

Just discovered this show on Fancast.com and have to say it kept me watching even after reading a somewhat negative review before clicking play.

And the end was very intriguing leaving us wondering is the whole thing just a simulation for a tv show or some type of experiment. It would seem Pike figured it out and found the way out (by "killing" himself).

I would've kept tuning in...I really wanted to know what that girl wanted so desperately to say to her obgyn who was the killer/rapist in the other modules.
