Horror Warner Bros. moving ahead with 'I Am Legend 2'

Nah I think Smith’s career is in tact. His projects will still move forward, he’s still a movie star. He apologized and I’m sure he will take whatever “punishment” the Academy dishes out (if there is any) without any pushback.

Will's gonna slap the **** out of some vampires.

Agreed 100%.

Rock's not innocent in this but Smith looks way worse for taking it to the next level and physically assaulting him.

Oh for sure, no argument from me. I've never liked Smith, not overly keen on Rock either. I hope he never works again but he will. Hollywood be a bunch of bell-ends.

Anyway, sorry taking it off course, back to the film's discussion, not Smith's actions......

No, he shouldn't. Some people in Hollywood have done much worse, didn't even apologize for what they've done unlike Smith, and still have jobs. Chris Rock isn't even pressing charges.
I guess you have no problem slapping someone if they offend you. Violence is NEVER the answer.

Well now you're just putting words in my mouth. He did a stupid thing but he apologized for it and he should be reprimanded by the Academy for it by way of suspending him for a few years but it's nothing to stall his career over. I said that Smith was in the wrong. You even quoted that post. I also seem to remember you having an issue with Disney firing Gina Carano from The Mandalorian for promoting hate speech and misinformation on social media so the irony isn't lost on me here.

Damn. I was onto something when I suggested earlier on here that they were gonna use the alternate ending.

The only way this would even make sense is if they either bring Smith back for flashbacks or go with the alternate/original ending as canon and just retcon the actual ending.

Yeah the alternate ending was definitely the better one and closer to the book so glad they’re going with that one.

This has got to be a first right? Can't blame them at all.

Yeah, I can’t think of another series where they used an alternate ending to jump off from for the sequel.

To be fair though, a lot of sequels just retcon deaths of characters anyway.

There definitely have been movies that ignored the later sequels (Halloween, Superman Returns). But not one that used the alternate ending as a starting point.

Didn’t The Descent 2 use the alternate ending of the first movie where the main character escapes the cave and lives?
