Warrior

got choked up when that song played, and when Hardy was leaning against the cage crying. :csad:

Me too, then I looked over at my wife and she was totally sobbing. lol.

No I think its a very fair comparison. They are both new it actors at the moment, and they have shown equal amount of acting talent. Actually I prefer Kunis in Black Swan to anything Hardy has done.
Really? I feel like Hardy showed more acting talent in Bronson alone than Kunis EVER has. Not to mention Stuart: A Life Backwards, Wuthering Heights, The Take, Warrior, etc.

You're right, range isn't everything in acting, but it is at the very least least evidence of talent. And Hardy has displayed a ton of it, going all the way back to Black Hawk Down.

And for the record, it has absolutely nothing to do with him being in Batman. I was already rejoicing when Nolan first cast him in Inception because I thought he was one of those rare talents that big directors needed to take notice of. I'm glad they have.

Kunis and Hardy are hardly NEW. They've both been around for years. It is simply now that they are both breaking out.

Remember Kunis was opposite William Shatner in the American Psycho sequel :D ? That came out TEN YEARS AGO.

I am not doubting that he has talent. I just dont think he is as talented as most other Batman fans think. I havent seen that much range from him as people say, but thats probably because I have not seen all his work.

Yes thats what I mean by new.

I'm not a fan of Nolan's Batman movies. But Hardy is easily one of the best young actors out there right now. Ever since I saw Bronson I knew he was terrific.

1. he is not new
2. he is not a young actor
3. he is very good
4. he will not break out until he will play's the main character in a big budget movie....where you can see his face. bane will not be that role. the public will never go crazy for an actor where they can not see his face.
5. maybe Mad Max will change everything. it will not . because Hardy is not a movie star actor. he is like Bale.

He is young-ish. Relatively speaking. I'd put him in the same brackett as Ryan Gosling. Too very, very talented guys who are relatively young and have yet to have a true break out role. But even as lesser known actors are respected amongst their peers and fans for their talent.

Although if i had to pick I'd say Gosling has shown he can do a bit more at this point. He's roles are more varied.

How can you say Gosling havent had a break out role. He has not just broken out, he is one of the best and biggest actors at the moment. Even I think Hardy has broken out.

Wait a minute, what do you mean by break out role?

A leading role in not only a critically acclaimed film, but financially successful, "mass appeal" films. Neither can be considered big stars just yet i don't think. But both are well respected by people who know their movies.

You are talking about being a celebrity or a star rather than a big actor? Personally I dont wish that on any of my favorite actors.

True, I think the same thing. But then that's what I attribute a "breakout" role to doing, making the actor a star who is easily recognisable. Doesn't mean they necessarily have to lose any of their talent. They're both guys who are obviously more interested in the craft of being an actor, rather than being famous.

I don't ever see Hardy being a big draw really. I think he'll just be an actor that will get featured in a lot of these biggish movies but never be a huge star or box office draw. Though they will probably try. He's at least a better actor than Sam Worthington :) .
