For those of you interested in picking up the Watchmen DC direct figures at your local store, I saw Toys R Us is stocking the figures, but only had a place for the "series 2" figures. They cost 16.99. If anyone else see's wave 1 around town and wants to comment on what stores are stocking them please do so. Thanks

Really? Huh.....mine didn't. But I ordered my set online anyway. Cheaper in the long run.

yeah I stopped in my hot topic and they didn't have any figures out yet... a bunch of watchmen shirts, key chains, posters, etc. I will keep my eye out the next couple weeks.

But yes, My toys r us had 4 sets of series 2 on the pegs. And both pegs were marked "wave 2"

For any australian watchmen fans

Mr toys in brisbane, Australia

had series one and two for 39.95 each (F***in expensive)

Bought Rorschach at local Hastings approximately 10:36 p.m last night. Hurm.

Blockbuster had the first wave, and my comic book shop had that and the variant Comedian from wave 2.

Crap, now I'm going to have to start checking Toys R Us. I wants my Manhattan and Comedian. Are there any online stores that have them yet, or are they all getting series 2 on February 25th?

I haven't seen them offered in stock on any of the websites I've looked at. The only thing I've seen is the Comedian variant. I pre-ordered my wave 2 figs ages ago, but the place I ordered them from says they'll be shipping sometime early in March. :csad: Oh well, at least I'll get them! Not like that hideous Movie Masters scavenger hunt I went through trying to get any TDK figs! :o

I picked mine up at a local comic book shop, and I saw some in a Canadain store called Sunrise Records.

This isn't exactly a sighting, but I just wanted to know:

Has anyone seen/bought the Dr. Manhattan Variant? If so, how much cooler is it than the regular one? I saw the regular one at a local shop, but I didn't want to spend the money if the variant is better. Also, does the variant come with the extra legs and stand?

Thanks for any replies, I didn't think this question warranted a whole new thread.

I like the Variant one better myself ... it's more 'glowy' which makes it more movie accurate to me :word:

and yeah the variant DOES come with extra legs and the stand .. it's basically the SAME as the regular release except it's more of a translucent plastic used to make the figure

Ive seen the figures. Nite Owl 1 and 2, SS 1 and 2, Ozy, Rorschach, and The Comedian.
I picked up Silk Spectre(Laurie) and I love it. I wish I had more money cuz I would definetly pick up all of them.
