as many of us know, the "fake an alien invasion to make the world come together and avert war" aspect of Watchmen is a nod to an episode of the Outer Limits. i was doing some browsing on Hulu tonight and found that episode, and i figured the Watchmen completists on here would appreciate getting to check it out:
