Ever since I saw The Last Samurai I always felt a certain actor in it would be a good pick for a live action version of Tessai.

I don't know his name but he was one of the Samurai betting on how many hits it would take for Tom Cruise to lose in that duel. When the one Samurai comments that Cruise is getting better, the actor I'm thinking of remarks back "but he's still so ugly".

Not sure if anyone is going to remember who the hell I'm talking about lol. I don't know if it was his hair style in that film or the chops he was sporting that made his head look a bit tall/large but that and his face as well as overall size for some reason instantly made me think of Tessai from Ninja Scroll.

It's cool that Leo wants Japanese actors, though I'm not so sure about this SMAP stuff. I can't really see any of them playing any of the characters except for maybe Yurimaru and Shijima.
