Superman Returns WB, Singer, and the Sequel

Honestly I can't either but to each his or her own. Personally I love the movies and look forward to the 3rd one. I believe that SM success caused a backlash among the internet crowd, the "it's overrated and wasn't that good" crowd have tried their best to bring Spidey down, but it hasn't worked. It's still one of the biggest franchises around and a hell of alot bigger than Superman. Boxoffice doesn't mean that anyone has to like a movie but it means something to the studios.

It really is overrated. Your post is overrating it by saying there's some secret organization trying to bring it down.

Come on people. can't you see how overrated spiderman is! It's so cheesy1 And it'll get cheesier with the next one, I tell you.

Ah you won't listen. But give it tiime and you'll see how superior Hulk was to spiderman. I'll even take Batman begins over his bad playstation one cgi filled movies.

Worldwide. As it will make more money than Batman begins, the first X-Men, the Fantastic Four, all movies that had (or will have) a sequel.

Oh so they are going to show the sequel only overseas ? Got it. Because the public over here sure have rejected it, as the #'s indicate. And SR had 389 theaters going into this weekend, BB had over 1,200 same weekend. It is a failure over here, admit it and move on. Will not even hit 195 domesticly.

Ummm....How have people rejected it if it still managed to make 193 million like your sig indicates and around 350 worldwide?? Rejection for me would be something around 80m TOTAL DOMESTIC, wich isn't the case. Just because people didn't embrace it as much as Pirates 2 doesn't mean they rejected it. It's not the type of film that makes zillions of cash anyways.
