Funny, isn't that what you're doing? First of all I said "to me"

Um, maybe I'm blind- but where exactly in that post did you say "to me"?

And no, I was not criticizing your pov. Never even brought it up. I brought up that you made a post that more or less was along the lines of "I'm right, you're wrong" to my own personal opinion- and that's what I commented on- not your opinion. Commented on how you quoted my opinion, and then made a "I'm right, you're wrong" comment.

Once again, where is the "to me"? If you had said, "to me" I would have never brought it up- but, you didn't.

You've seen SM3! Cool, can you point me to your time machine?! Seriously I think that SM3 looks all sorts of awsome, so you lost me there buddy.:)

Hey, you're the one that we brought it up and stated that you said"to me"- when, um- where is "to me" exactly? So, agree to disagree. The end. Over. Alright? You annoyed me, I annoyed you- game over. Let's agree to move on.

In my opinion:

There are MANY difference between X-Men and Superman, not at all alike.

X-Men is a group of heroes in a realistic world with the center being predjudices.

Superman is a movie about one hero in a mythological fantasy world with the centering being Superman (and all the aspects of Superman) and the characters around him.

I can see what you're saying. But, to me that's like comparing apples to oranges. Because yes, both are superhero films- but, that's more or less the only thing both 'worlds' have in common.

X2 was better than X1, similarly to how SM2 is better than SM1, etc., etc. Finding faults in the first and fixing it for the second.

Yes, Singer has directed X-Men films. But, this is his first time with a Superman film. Take that for what you will.

Oh an um- btw, since when did I throw crap at Ang Lee? Don't know if you're generalizing or not. If given a second go, I'm betting Ang Lee would have seen where he went wrong and fixed it while further improving what he got right. And yes \/ same goes for Tim Story as well- first F4, it was good and had some faults- which I think will be fixed for the sequel. I apply this to ALL first films and their respective directors. To me, first films in a trilogy, are a "test"- find the faults, find the strengths; improve upon the strengths, fix the flaws. And alot of the time- this is what happens.

I don't believe that. Everyone besides three people on this board was anti-hulk, hoping Ang Lee would never get a chance for sequel. I remember it all very well.

Tell singer about the difference to between xmen and superman, not me. He said that superman returns was similar to X1 in certain ways. And He wouldn't have gotten the job had ne had no experience doing comicbook movies before.

Both spiderman movies are overrated. That's the truth.:spidey:Though I agree the sequels usually make some sort of improvements over the previous film. Since Returns is a vague sequel, it tried to take what had been done, copy it, and make it better with cgi and such.

First films are a test? Sometimes, but definitely Not this one. It's budget and confidence from WB in a director who had two successful comic book films and is a friend of the director of STM, plus introducing superman's baby boy, does not tell me it was a test. :O Batman Begins was more of a test than this.

No offence but the guy does have ghost Rider advatar. Seriously that movie looks g-d awful, I laughed at it's preview in the theater when I went to see X3.

This post sounds way more harsh than I intended.:)

Looks like Horn, and WB is in a wee bit of trouble. Lots of pressure on them, because of the flops so far this year. But they will bring Singer back, make another Superman movie, and everything will be right with the world.

Horn declined to divulge figures, but a person familiar with the studio's internal projections said Warner's cut of the "Superman Returns" profit was expected to be $50 million to $60 million. The film cost $209 million to produce and more than $100 million to market worldwide.

Horn expects "Superman Returns" to eventually gross about $400 million worldwide, more than last year's hit "Batman Begins." Nonetheless, "Superman" fell at least $100 million short of his expectations.

"I thought it was a very successful movie, but I think it should have done $500 million worldwide," Horn said. "We should have had perhaps a little more action to satisfy the young male crowd."

Still, he's betting Warner has firmly reestablished the "Superman" franchise and is planning another installment for summer 2009.

Firmly reestablished ? Where ?

lmao....I guess it takes one of every kind....I honesty don't see how someone could like SR or GR and not SM, but whatever....

Um, Carp- dude (or dudette?) that article is old.

Yeah.... personal top three: Batman Begins, Spider-Man 2, Superman Returns.

Still like the original SM, but you can seriously see how it has dated in some areas- watched it recently.

ah.... so your one of those idiots that laugh in napoleon dynamite huh?

what?

i dont like SR...... i like GR....... but not SM3

Judging two movies before you even see them?! That's jumping the gun a bit much. Personally, I wait to see films- or read the screenplay/novelization before making or guessing my opinions on them.

wtf? What does that have to do with anything?

I liked daredevil DC A LOT. so if the director of GR delivers ghostrider as good as he did the DC, or better than the dC, I'll be super pleased.

Honestly I can't either but to each his or her own. Personally I love the movies and look forward to the 3rd one. I believe that SM success caused a backlash among the internet crowd, the "it's overrated and wasn't that good" crowd have tried their best to bring Spidey down, but it hasn't worked. It's still one of the biggest franchises around and a hell of alot bigger than Superman. Boxoffice doesn't mean that anyone has to like a movie but it means something to the studios.

Wes, I definitely agree with you on DD DC. The DC was way better than the theatrical cut. And thank god- this time Fox doesn't have it's hands on how to edit it and what reshoots to make. So, could be a great film. But better than SM3? Personally don't think so.

I SEE that's what I would like to know too. How can you like or dislike a movie before seeing it?
