WB to Attack on Titan

I did get a Game of Thrones/ A Song of Ice and Fire vibe from the setting when I first watched the anime. A HBO format might have been an interesting way to go about it.

Yeah, I made note of the rating.
Closest that comes to mind is Snowpiercer in that aspect, but the PG-13 Edge of Tomorrow did bleak violence fairly well.

Attack on Titan makes Edge of Tomorrow and the All You Need Is Kill manga adaptation look like Barney & Friends.

They had to tone down the violence for the anime adaptation. The point was familiarity in stakes.

The terror and just the bleak state of humanity is still a lot darker in Attack on Titan.

Which is why I'm wondering which rating they go for:
Snowpiercer
or
Edge of Tomorrow

If they try to make it like Edge of Tomorrow, then it's no longer Attack on Titan. I am going to be firm on that. Forget Snowpiercer, what about Fury Road?

Fury Road is pretty soft on the R scale, considering there isn't much gore.
That's why I suggested Edge of Tomorrow since it pushes the rating.

Right now my analogy of AoT would be YA dystopia meets World War Z.

You're talking about AOT like it's berserk, it's not that dark. The violence isn't the core of AOT, the plot, mystery and characters are. I'm not really a big fan of this series but I feel it's a good fit for a hollywood adaptation, at least compared to Akira. If ghost in the shell makes bank, WB should push for this over Akira.
