Yeah, that and the art is perfect for the story. I think the artist's name is Scott Wegener. His art's very crisp. His style's like a cleaned up version of Mignola.

Yep, Scott Wegener is his name. It was at Boston Comic Con a couple weeks ago that I picked up the comic - he had a table in Artists' Alley. Nice guy.

Honestly? They're pretty bad. Which is weird, because Atomic Robo is so good.

No, it's an Image book.

Ah, I see. Then I have no idea what else they publish besides Atomic Robo.

They publish a godawful book called Midknight. They also put out a book called Neozoic that I couldn't buy on principle. The artist drew the girl on the cover to #1 with two right hands. There's also a book called Abyss that I don't know much about, other then the fact that the art looks like really ****ty fanart.

Oh, Midknight. Isn't that supposed to be about a married couple who are superheroes or something? I only saw the solicit in the back of AR #1.

Yeah. The art is TERRIBLE, but I guess I'm in the minority since Wizard gave the dude an "Artist to Watch" award.

I guess that's what happens when you use your own hand as reference material. Funny, I just heard a similar story from an artist who does fixes for DC books.

"Fixes"? Who's the artist? And who's art is he fixing?

It was Andy Fish, giving a speech at Emerson College last week that I attended. He did not name names.

That's interesting. I figured if anyone would have to "fix" something, it would just fall upon the colorist. He's the one who's working exclusively on the computer anyway.

Well, now it makes sense why I never see Atomic Robot get love... the thread isn't even named after him AND some of the fans are banned.

To be fair, that's the same poster. He just came back with a different name and got banned again.
