Transformers Weapons Expert: Ironhide - Appreciation thread

For me it is:

1. Jazz
2. Ironide
3. Optimus Prime
4. Ratchet
5. Bumblebee

I think the reason Bumblebee is one of my favorites is because of his bravery. I was blown away by the fact that he kept fighting despite the fact that he lost his legs. That really made me respect him a lot more.

One of the coolest scenes was when he was in slow motion & was trying not to land on that girl, who, was very hot.

I dont know, i still love that scene, but i think the bit were he uses a car as a shield against Blackout is more awesome.

My favorites go like this:

1. Bumblebee
2. Jazz
3. Ironhide
4. Optimus Prime
5. Ratchet

I'm thinking of doing a 'Best Autobot' and 'Best Decepticon' thread/s what do you guys think?

Bumblebee is just an amazing character period, his loyalty to Sam and Mikaela was very touching, and it was obvious in the movie he would give his life for them both if he had to.

I'm still quite confused as to what reasoning was used to make Ironhide sound completely different from the cartoon. It was totally unnecessary. Micheal Bay probably should have given this character a different name because he is nothing like Ironhide from the cartoon.

That's one of the main reasons I hated killing him in the game.

Ironhide was spot on, I thought. All of the Autobots were.

I can't speak on that because this is the only Transformers related anything that I've watched.

Yeah, originally I thought this movie was going to be crap but for a while I started buying Wizard magazines & the more I read about Transformers, the more interested I became so I finally got a hold of the DVD a few weeks ago & I absolutely love the movie. Today I just got my own copy which I won't get until Christmas but I have the game which I was allowed to play an entire week before my birthday so all in all, my knowledge of the Transformers is dangerously lacking.

Hence the character was not spot on.

Who's to say the character is spot on when there have been numerous different characters named Ironhide?

Spot on with the rookie with Transformers Energon? Nope. The female Minicon in Armada? Nope.

His British accent is much cooler than the G1 Southern accent, but maybe I'm just biased. :woot:

Hence the character was not spot on.

Who cares what accent he has? Does it really matter when his personality traits were perfect?

I'm only talking about the G1 cartoon, by the way. That's the only one I've seen. :yay:

The only version of Ironhide I've seen if from the movies & he was one of my favorite Transformers throughout the movie.

It didnt really effect the character as much as i thought before watching the movie, i know he is meant to be an old-west style gun slinger, but in the movie his voice didnt bother me, it fit well with the voices of the other Autobots.

It was funny when he first met Sam, I loved that scene.

I thought Shia's acting was superb in that scene, considering he was acting against nothing.

Wish we could have got a scene of Ironhide shooting Megatron or Starscream though.

^Hopefully, it needs to be shown that Ironhide and Ratchet are not ****bags when it comes to Megatron and Starscream.

I hope we see more of that trick Ironhide did were he punched/shot the floor and created a shock-wave, that was a cool little manouvre.
