I loved the first 4 seasons of this show. I liked all the characters and the plots. However, this new season is really not doing it for me. Nancy is just a crazy person anymore who really doesn't give a **** about her kids, and I am really not into the drug lord/baby plot.

I hope it all gets settled somehow at the end of this season and they get back to basics next year, because this show used to be really good, one of the best shows on television.

and Nancy as a character has just dropped. I mean the whole breast milk thing was so stupid and unnecessary

They keep throwing in moments where she is like "Oh man, what am I doing? How did my son get into such a situation, what a bad parent I am." But then she doesn't do anything about it and continues neglecting them and doing stupid things.

The character of Nancy has just changed too much, she isn't really sympathetic anymore. I feel bad for Andy.

I think Nancy does care about her kids. But the thing is she puts herself before her family ever time. And I think that's her major fault her selfishness. The same with Esteban he put his career before Nancy and Stephen.

Also am I the only person who thinks Esteban raped Nancy that one time when she went out and got drunk and all that?

It wasn't rape rape, Nancy wasn't that unhappy with what happened, but it was definitely forceful and trying to put her in her place.

Is it a surprise though? Hes been spiraling down since last season. Though that blow to the head shouldnt have killed her probably. Wonder how Nancy will get out this next season.

I'm happy that the kid isn't such a damn wuss anymore. That chick did just threaten his and his brothers life though, and a good hit to the temple like that would kill someone.

I'm sure they can just say "she fell and hit her head".

I've been catching up on this show - middle of season 5 currently - finally having Showtime for the first time this year. Great stuff, but I'm sad that Elizabeth Perkins is leaving this year.

Oh yeah, and M-LP is beautiful.

She is? I hadnt heard that. Id be surprised if the show went on after the upcoming one. It went downhill after they left Agrestic.

I've only seen the first season, and bits of 2 and 3, but Nancy Botwin is one of the best female characters on TV.

I just started watching this show a week or so ago. I thought it took some getting used to before it found it's footing, but when it did, I was addicted. I'm just starting Season 5 right now. I miss Conrad's character though.

I think I'm going too dig this season. I love the on the run direction their taking this show.

So (yet again) the season premier has leaked, who else has seen it? I liked it, but I really think the episode could have done with being longer. Why this show is only half an our long has always puzzled me.

aww man, I love this show. This has got to be the best season since they left Agrestic. The show went downhill when that happened but its felt so fresh and rejuvenated this year and I love the new plotline

I felt that way...up until the recent episode. I was enjoying the new Seattle status quo and now they're on the run again?? I mean they introduced all these cool plotlines and characters with the hotel and the new weed dealer and Sylas in college...seriously wtf?

The show is back! Anyone see the premiere? Man has Shane grown. Cant believe he can have kids now. Makes me feel old...lol. Not sure what to think of the ending with Nancy. Man cant she stay out of trouble? Guess there wouldnt be a show if she could...lol

I enjoyed it. Though I think it wouldve been nicer to see her try to readjust to a normal life for an episode or 2 before decieding she has to go back into the drug world to make a life again.

I hope the Russian woman, forget her name, shows up again. I get the feeling that Nancy just used her and doesn't love her.
