I'm suprised I could not find a thread for this show. I just finished watching the pilot on CBS.com and it is absolutely hillarious. Not since season 1 of The Office has there been such a great, awkward show. This definitly has a season pass on my TIVO.

My wife and I started watching it Monday night and turned it off. She thought she would like it, but couldn't invest the time for another show to watch. I just didn't care for what I saw. I record to much on Mondays right now for the DVR to handle.

I've seen the British original, very funny. I only saw the scenes with the misunderstanding about the funeral and when he defaced the painting, but I didn't laugh.

I've never even heard of it...of course I don't watch commercials, so that could be why. :P

its about two couple going to get married. the boyfriend staying with her parents house. he alwasy messing up stuff. its really funny.it comes on cbs Mondays at 9:30pm.

You must be talking about an American remake over the original british series it's based on. I hadn't realized they remade it. The original's great.

The remake isn't half bad either. I love this show. Just when you think Sam can't dig a hole any deeper...he finds a way.

Plus Kurtwood Smith. How can anyone not love Kurtwood Smith.

I saw some of it last night. All I could keep thinking was, "wow, that girlfriend of his is really hot".

Just watched the first two episodes online. This is a very solid remake. I was worried it was going to be another Coupling, but so far it's been great.

I just watched the pilot, thought it was really funny. About to check out the 2nd episode right now

I thought tonight's episode was the funniest yet

I'm watching it online. This show truly cracks me up. "I told her we should do it in the yard."

It is ashame that this show is opposite of Heroes or more people here would be appreciating how damn good it is. I think this rivals Sunny and The Office for funniest show on TV.

I just finished the episode. I love how every little stupid thing Sam does just builds up to a hillarious climax :lmao:

I saw a little bit last night during the commercials for Heroes. It was kind of funny.

The British version = hilarious
The American version = lame

I wanted to like the American version, but it was terrible. It's one of those shows where you ask "Why would he do that?" over and over. It was more infuriating than funny. They took the jokes from the British show and made them unfunny.

so I don't think this week's worst week could have ended any funnier

Nor do I. I just love this show. Each week you're left thinking, "Oh God, he's crossed the line...there is no way he can do anything even a little bit dumber," yet he finds a way.

I've never seen the British version, but people really ought to quit comparing and just accept this for what it is. A hillarious show

:lmao: I lost it with that line. I really don't get why more people are not watching this. Especially since you can watch basically anything online now-a-days. Time slots are moot.

The ratings have been pretty good (between 8.85-10.87 million viewers per week) but it just doesn't seem that popular around SHH!. Maybe everyone is busy watching Heroes

EDIT: 7000th post!

Just watched the first two episodes online. This is a very solid remake. I was worried it was going to be another Coupling, but so far it's been great.

British Coupling is by far my favorite sitcom ever. So funny and true at the same time. I was disappointed when Jeff left. And I wanted more seasons, but it never worked out.

American Coupling is a total raping of the excellent British version.

I am so glad we get BBC America that shows the good to great shows before American tv turns them to complete and utter stupidity.

I am like one minute into this episode and I already love it. Sam is wearing Mel's underwear and a reverend is coming. I can already see about 50 bad ways this can end and they are all hillarious.

The whole time while he is pouring the tea is just cringe worthy. And then the panties story line finally comes to a climax. The part with Mel cheering Sam up was really sweet. Good to see this show has heart as opposed to just comedy. I really hope this show succeeds.
