Horror Welcome to Derry - HBO Max Developing IT Prequel Series

ooooooh....yesssssssssss......

Yes. This is exactly what I wanted this show to be.

Seems appropriate, considering the release dates of the two films.

Might as well just renew it for S2 now so they can start production and we dont have to wait 5 years

Makes sense given the setting, but it’s kind of funny to see the period costuming for the kids look so much like the Losers Club in the Curry miniseries.

I’ve still got my fingers crossed that
Chris Chalk is Dick Hallorann.

I was thinking about this show earlier today, and you know what just occurred to me?

All bets could be off for the young protagonists in this series. It feels like the show will want us to see these kids as some sort of proto-Losers Club, but considering no one really got the drop on Pennywise the way the Losers did… could these 60s kids just end up being a bunch of Georgies instead?

It'd be really dark but it would provide a sobering definitive answer to the "Where were they during the events of Chapter 1?" question apart from a hand waving "They all just moved away from Derry and never came back" explanation.

I can't keep straight what's on HBO or HBO Max anymore. 😭
