Him being BP's father could work. Which I guess would make him BP as well, just not the one the movie is about. True he's only 14 years older than Boseman but Harrison Ford and Sean Connery were even closer in age(12 years) in Last Crusade and they still pulled it off.

They should do a Midnight Sons movie. I can picture some comedic scenes with Snipes Blade and Cumberbatch Doctor Strange interacting.

Saw the whole Harry Potter collection in Blu-ray there to. Never was all that into HP but recently became a believer once I got on the HP ride at Universal studio's. Highly recommended!

I recent watched them all a couple months ago for the 1st time in over 10 years and boy did they seem dated to me with all the Matrixing(which honestly should be called Blading since Blade came before the Matrix) and over stylized EVERYTHING in those films. They absolutely wouldn't fit in the MCU, even if they didn't have R-ratings.

It's one of the few CBM sequel's that manage to outdo it's first film.

I love the Blade movies (yes even 3 haha) but I would take this news with a hefty pinch of salt. Snipes in recent years has been a pretty big mess and his star power is damn near non-existent so he wouldn't even be that great a get for the Netflix shows. I have to imagine if this is true he may be up for T'Chaka or something similar where marvel basically wants a name but doesn't really want to shell out much cash. But Marvel did reserrect a certain armored individual career not too long ago so anything is possible

Snipes may physically be old, yes. But the dude doesn't look like he's aged since 1998 anyway. Plus, not many actors have his intensity, facial expressions, charisma and baritone voice.

Lots of people rank'em that way. I don't happen to as I find Blade 2 to be like pretty much every other Del Toro movie I've ever seen: completely forgettable. He has good imagination for creature work but something about his execution feels just uninteresting to me. It's not enough to just have great artwork and designs in your movie. How they act and react is just as important and to me this is his biggest weakness.

Norrington managed to cobble together something greater than the sum of it's parts with Blade 1 and I was always sad that he didn't return to refine what he had started. Raimi and Singer got a second crack at it but Norrington I heard was fed up with all the crap he had to put up with from New Line that he gave up directing altogether. Not sure what's rumor and what's fact but either way it's our loss because he definitely stopped making movies.

Edit: I guess it was LXG for FOX that did him in and not Blade. Too bad as he had some real talent. He still could have used some more practice and honing of his craft but he had the spark, no doubt.

And Goyer just screwed the pooch 6 ways from Sunday with Blade Trinity. One of the worst movies ever made, IMO. Slip shot as they come.

I feel like if they want to incorporate Blade in to the MCU, they'd be better off going with a younger actor. Would love for Snipes to be involved in some capacity, though

Definitely want Snipes to reprise his role as Blade.

As for the 'too old' argument, personally, I think that is a fascinating aspect rather than a hindrance. In Blade 1 they implicitly say that vampires don't age but Blade does so you should explore that.

How does Blade feel about fighting a war with a race of people that expand their ranks with a bite and doesn't age. They remain as young and vital as every whilst every single day Blade gets a little older and slower. That seems like a hopeless scenario and would weigh down on him.

^This. I'm not chomping at the bit to get the character of Blade back. He had his run and had more success than most characters enjoy. Sure, he can still show up in the future but for now I'm more interested in characters we haven't seen yet. I would however like to see Snipes in the MCU as he's a decent talent.
