Homecoming What 2 major Marvel characters will appear?

When the emails leaked they mentioned if a deal were made Sony would be allowed to use two major Marvel characters in their trilogy of Spider-Man films. And the press release mentioned the two companies would be exploring opportunities to incorporate Marvel characters in the Spidey movies. So what two do you think it will be? I put my bets on for sure Black Widow and for the second Tony, Nick Fury, or maybe Daredevil or Kingpin.

Nick Fury is probably a semi-guarantee. He should be "recruiting" Spider-Man or at least attempting to bring him to SHIELD.

I, for one, hope we get some USM-esque drama with shield and Nick Fury interfering with Peter's life, that would be awesome!

SHIELD is pretty much a non entity at this point.

It really depends on what kind of story they are telling.

Yeah, it depends on the story. I can't see SHIELD being a factor. Some people are saying that Kingpin is Marvel exclusive right now. In theory, he might not be shared and they might want him. I'm skeptical of that. I'm also skeptical they might want Ben Urich since, although he's from the Bugle, he's not really important to that story.

I always keep hearing that Sony wants Captain America Civil War to lead into Sinister Six. That doesn't seem to be the plan and I never got how that worked anyway. However, Felicia Hardy's dad has ties to Captain America. That strikes me as fairly logical. Certainly, Spider-Man has intersected with the rest of the Marvel universe since the beginning, but I don't think in any iconic ways that are necessary to reproduce.

I'm not sure where you've been hearing this because this arrangement between MS and Sony has absolutely no bearing on S6 or any of the other already-planned Spidey 'side project' films, and MS will have no involvement - directly or indirectly - in said projects.

It's not.

Nothing about this deal has changed anything vis a vis S6, Venom, and the female-centric film, at least as far as their status is concerned.

It might change the way that those films are structured story-wise since they will have something that's actually MCU Canon to build off of, but this arrangement with Marvel Studios isn't going to cause them to not get made.

If I could choose any 2 Marvel heroes to appear in Spider-Man 1 it would be Daredevil and Punisher and just do a street level crime drama.
Make it stand alone with a beginning middle and end. No love interest, no origin just a self contained movie to get everyone excited about Spider-Man again.
