I just realized that Hugh Grant is in 4 of my best romcom comedies. About a Boy, Love Actually, Notting Hill and Four Weddings and a Funeral. My number 5 is Hostel.....Nah just Kidding :-D Clue is my last one. How about you gents and ladies?

In no particular order: (500) days of summer. love, actually. Amèlie. Chasing Amy. Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Truth be to told I generally hate romantic comedies, these are the ones I think transcend the genre and actually tell worthwhile stories. Special mention goes to 10 things I hate about you, but that could considered more of a teen comedy.

City Lights
The Shop Around the Corner
The Seven Year Itch
Doc Hollywood
Breakfast at Tiffany's

I am abashed. I put Clue as a romcom and I meant to put When Harry Met Sally :)

And yes, 10 Things I hate about You is a teen comedy but it does feel like a Romcom. So I will allow it :)

When Harry Met Sally

Forget Paris

There's Something About Mary

10 Things I Hate About You

The Princess Bride
(I don't know if this one counts as a rom-com. It is most deffinitely a romance, and there are certainly comedic elements, but there's also a lot of action and fantasy adventure. It really fits in all the above genres without being fully classified as any single one of them.)

1) Breakfast at Tiffany's

The best of the best.

Eh,
While you were Sleeping
Pretty Woman
I can't think of anymore.

I would assume Princess Bride would count. In fact, that movie should count as pretty much anything, since it covers just about every genre.

So yeah, Princess Bride is #1.

Not my favorite genre, actually the one I like the least.
But I've seen some pretty good ones: Love Actually, Notting Hill and Sleepless in Seattle.

As said before, Princess Bride has several genres and I definitely accept it as a romcom :) One of the best movies of all time. "Have fun storming the castle!!"

Some great ones mentioned. But for me, it doesn't get any better than Roman Holiday. The chemistry between Hepburn and Peck is incredible.
