I love them all. Especially Brazil. :atp:

^^^That movie is the reason every Terry Gilliam movie is a must-see for me, even the ones almost unanimously slammed as misfires. Because even in those, there are at least one or two scenes that give me a flash of that Brazil genius again. Still need to get my hands on Zero Theorum.

And I love all the movies on your list too, especially The Incredibles and Pride and Prejudice. If I had listed my top 10, The Incredibles would have definitely been on it, and P&P is one of my go-to "comfort" movies. Like you said, it just makes me happy.

Same here. I remember renting Tideland and thinking, I don't really want to see this, but the man made Brazil. There has to be something worth watching here.

:highfive:

P&P got me through a tough time in my life. It is definitely a go-to comfort film for me as well. It is also pretty great imo.

^^^Oh yes, it's an extremely well-crafted movie as well. It's as good as any feature-length version of that story could possibly be, imo.

My favorite movies of all-time. Movies I can watch again and again without getting sick of it.

2001: A Space Odyssey
Notorious
Goodfellas
Barry Lyndon
Raiders of the Lost Ark
City Lights
Yojimbo
North by Northwest
Inglourious Basterds
Once Upon a Time in the West

Nice list StarLord.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly was on my list for years. Would definitely be in my top 15.

Cheers!

The entire movie is just superb, but the last 15 minutes are pure gold.
It is perfection. The combination of Leone and Morricone is kind of unmatched. The standoff is something else. :drl:

Jaws
Taxi Driver
Blue Velvet
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
Once Upon a Time in the West

I'm going to cheat and do a bit more than 5.
1. Frozen

Our Snow is a Nolan fan. :yay:

And much love for Beauty and the Beast, Pan's and the Kubrick. :atp:

Scorsese is my favorite, but I couldn't put the best of his film on my "favorite" list, Raging Bull. A brilliant film, maybe the best I have ever seen, but damn does it hit home. From Kubrick, Strangelove is my favorite, but he has a good 5-6 absolutely stunning films imo.

Top 5

1. Donnie Darko

TDK.
As Good As It Gets.
12 Years a Slave
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Perks of being a wall flower (for other reasons than Emma Watson being in it.:o )

I love Perks so much. Saw it for Emma, but it turned out to be one of my favorites. Could end up in my top 10 over the years.

I think there is a distinction between 'favourite' and 'best', in that fave's are films that have meaning to you but are not neceserily 'brilliant' films and best, because they are strong pieces of film making.

Will have to have a think on both....

Top of the list on fave's though is Superman The Movie (1978)

Just 5 is sooo difficult, but i'll give it a try:
The Godfather
The Godfather II
Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Gone With the Wind
