I don't see any sense in buying boxed sets until their are definitelt no more sequels forhcoming. I would be mighty upset if I owned the Die Hard, Indiana Jones, or even Star Wars(since there will be 3 more) and they come out with another chapter and an all new box set 10 yrs. later.

The only safe bets for boxed sets right now: Lethal Weapon, The Matrix, and Back to the Future. Of course, they are coming out with a new 'Jaws' some 20 years later so I guess it's possible to see more installwents in Weapon, Matrix, and Future.
 
That's basically why I have so few.
I buy the sequel,but box sets do have their benefits.

I'm not seeing mnay people listing the Alien Quadrilogy. It is undoubtedly the best boxset of all time.
 
What do you think of the new versions of the films?

The directors cuts? Aliens i have always preferred the D.c with the machine guns in the halls ways and what not :up:, not so keen on Alien as a D.c though was only about 5mins slapped back in. as for the other 2 meh either way they aren't as good as the first 2 films :D

I love the new cut of Alien 3, absolutely love it. Makes it so much better.
