Be it because you think they'd offer something totally new in terms of gameplay mechanics or just your straight up love of the character itself one things for sure is there are still plenty of different characters we would all still love to see in Injustice 3.
I will start us off with my top 5 picks
The Penguin
Ok firstly because Oswald just doesn't get a lot of love compared to a lot of Batman's other top rogues, if there's space for just one Batman villain he's pretty much always gets passed up for The likes of Joker, Mr Freeze and Two-Face. Secondly I do think he could offer a really unique playstyle & move set for NetherRealm to play around with, I mean think about it his shorter frame would mean they would have to adapt a new move-set for him and just think of all the fun they could have with his umbrella. You could have that thing firing projectiles functioning as a shield or even being used a s straight up melee weapon this possibilities are there to make a really distinctive new character.
Beast Boy
Does this one even really need that much explaining? Beast Boy can change in to any animal, how is that not a visual extravaganza that we need to see in the next Injustice game. How you put the character's move-set together so that he's not extremely overpowered would be the hard part and picking which animal transformations to use. But just think how cool Beast Boy's super move could be, im picturing first an initial slash attack as a tiger/lion and then couple punches as a gorilla then he turns around quickly change to a horse double kick's them under the chin in to air before charging at them as either an elephant or rhino to finish off.
Rorschach
He might not have the visually stunning powers of Beast Boy or the potential versatility of Penguin but Rorschach is about the one character I have craved most for this game to add above all else since the first one. While I imagine his combat would have to be similar to the likes of Batman but less refined and more aggressive you could also spice it up by adding his grapple gun as a projectile weapon or even have him being resourceful with the matches and deodorant he used to make a mini flamethrower.
King Shark
You need someone to fill that role that tank role that both Bane and Gorilla Grodd have filled in the first two games so why not have a fresh face in the mix and add King Shark. I don't have a lot more on this one other than I really like sharks lol so having a giant half man half shark in the next Injustice game would be a big win for me. Plus Grodd for me was one of my least favourite characters to play as in the last one so would like to see them change him up.
Mirror Master
Think Kung Lao's move-set in MK11 meets Captain Cold's move-set in Injustice 2, having his main weapon being his mirror gun while also making him able to teleport across the map at ease by transporting between the mirror dimension would make for a fresh new style by combining those two together. You could even use one of his other powers such as his skills for holograms to give him an ability similar to Sub-Zero in Injustice 2.
