what do you think of amish?

That's their prerogative. Like I said, I don't care enough to do the same.

I've never encountered Amish folk.

There's a clan of Mennonites (sp?) that live about 20 miles from me.

Not sure how they differ, but Mennonites drive cars. Not sure if they have X-Boxes or not.

At any rate, I hold neither of them any ill will.

I live in So-Cal, no such thing as Amish around here.

I wouldn't mind being an Amish, but I'd miss my computer.

I have an Amish friend. His name is Abe. He used to be a civil engineer making 80 thousand a year, but he left it to become Amish. He's really nice, and has a suprisingly dark sense of humor. He smells like cheese sometimes, but I only see him about three times a year.

i love it when you bring out the important questions.

ahh,When i was on my way to fla this summer I saw this cute cute amish woman at the bus station...she was hot!

The Amish are great! (Well, when Harrison Ford is dressed as one in Witness that is)

Personally, I think the lifestyle is a bit strange but I'm not here to judge. To each his or her own.

I agree with this as well.

My parents live near some Amish, my step-father has actually helped them raise a few barns and such. My brother's have actually seen one beat the living hell out of his wife and kick her out the front door of their house. What i really hate is when visiting and sleeping i hear that damn horse and buggy going by at 7am for religious service. wakes me up everytime. probably why i haven't visited my parents in 5 years.

I hate how they get buggie crossing signs i want one:D

We've got some Amish that bring their fresh products to were I live now. The children, especially the young women look hopeless.

They make great strawberry-rhubarb pie.

OMFG, I'd love to get my hands on some sweet, innocent Amish pie.

As we all know, I hate organized religion. But I have to say that I have a lot of respect for 1) the Seventh Day Adventists (because they actually attempt to live by the teachings of their scriptures even when it might be, ew....difficult! (except for jonty. He's going to Hell for blaspheming the Holy Ghost.:())

and 2) the Amish. The thing I like about the Amish is Rumspringa.

Th^t is the way to do it, if you have to do it.
