What Happend to Family Guy?

Usually "Family Guy's" attempts at being like "South Park" involve trying too hard to be edgy and failing to be funny. Like the beginning of the new episode where the horse goes out of control (I think the announcer says a baby died). Or the "lost city of New Orleans." Or the 9/11 jokes. Or the Cripple Tron. The list could go on.
Meh, if you say that then you might as well say any show that tries "too hard to be edgy" is attempting to be like South Park.

Last nights episode was pretty decent. They could of done so much more with it though...

I thought Peter getting the squirrel gene was pretty damn hilarious.

I laughed a decent amount at the episode.

I found it hilarious that Stewie had a pamphlet about "going straight" lying around for a year...

I'll be honest I was expecting better things from the episode, yeah the humor was kind of tasteless, but that's part of what makes family guy funny. The problem with the episode was just that it was boring.

Eh, I liked the part with the pig and the guinea pigs as well as the horse running sideways.

Good episode tonight, as for the Conway joke, I liked them, when they were 20 seconds long, but don't bash us over the head for 3 minutes.

Stewie on the roof with Michael J. Fox was hilarious. As was Stewie being thrown like a football.

It had it's moments like the walk to "Dust In the Wind" and the jab at The Simpsons, but the rest of the episode was terrible.

The Conway Twitty thing was stupid. I liked the Back To The Future joke.

Thing is they've parodied BTTF about, what? 3 times already (the first two BTTF references were in fact in back-to-back episodes last season)...

And don't get me started on the Conway Twitty stuff, it was funny the first 37 times!

I'm a fan of the show don't get me wrong but they're clearly running out of ideas.

They've done a lot more Back to the Future parodies than that.

This episode wasn't that good. I really hope they never ever ever use another Conway Twitty joke again.

Conway Twitty for over 3 minutes totally ruined this episode for me.

Thank god for DVR, because I would have turned the channel on that Conway Tritty joke. That was way, way, way, way, to long.

If they wanted to kill a whole minute they could have done a chicken fight. This was obviously a lame cost-cutting move, although I like that song. It reminds me when country music was sweet, sad and sleazy before the damn evangelical christians took it over.

Enough with the Yee Haw!/Twitty cutaways already :cmad: !

Other than that, decent episode, but American Dad was better, as usual.

Last night's ep was awful. Some of the OJ stuff was mildly entertaining, but most of it was  FG does a lot of repeat gag, but they beat a few of them into the ground with this one. I was waiting for Stewie to poke fun at Brian over his novel for 5 minutes to cap it off. It's like they had a script in progress, then the word processing program crashed and they had to crank something out in an hour to make deadline.

One of the Manetees died.:o

I knew OJ would murder all the people at the end so the episode paired with Twitty was beyond lame.

Brian farting himself awake was pretty good though.

I thought the new episode was pretty good. But yeah, the rediculously long twitty joke was uncalled for. I literally went to go to get something to eat and when I came back it was still on
