I really got a kick out of the Robot Chicken spoof. The fact that the comment was directed to Seth Green who does the voice of Chris made it even better.

dude, I could understand if they did it twice and after the 2nd time I was still willing to give Seth a chance, a buddy of mine pointed out how annoying that Conway Twitty **** was getting on his nerves, I laughed and did the "whatever". Untill they did it a 3rd and 4th time (that I know of), and each time it got longer and longer. The 4th time, they kept Conway Twitty on for a good 2-3 minutes. Ended up just changing the channel and that's when it hit me officially, Family Guy is done...finished.....no more

........can you say "over kill"? Because I can........OVERKILL


so yes, it is the basis for me not watching the newer episodes. When a show pulls annoying crap like that, they deserve to lose viewers.

They did it 4 times over two seasons.

That's twice per 13-22 episode season that they showed it.

So, out of 26-44 episodes, 4 of them have a 5 minute segment of Twitty. Pretty sure the only overkill is you banning it completely from your house and being such an elitest that you'll only allow the first three seasons.

It's not just the conway twitty though, that set everything in stone, yes, but all the long, drawn out segments have all played a role. Anytime they repeat a joke, or take more than 15 seconds tops to tell one, it's OVERKILL. With the newer episodes, they do it more than they don't

it's cool, I'll download the new episode since everyone seemed to like it, and I'll patiently wait 6 months (since the last worthy episode was "420") for another good episode to come along, and download that as well, and so forth

That was some funny **** last night. Some of the gags feel flat, but Peter was hysterical. I watched that SuperFriends opening 3 times before I even got to the rest of the ep.

Anyone who is saying Family Guy is losing steam are wrong, there is still plenty of comedy left to mine, the Superfriends opening was awesome I wish they would tackle other cartoon intros like The Simpsons does with their couch gag openings.

I usually don't laugh out loud at the jokes until I soak them in after repeats.

You are right, it isn't losing steam, it lost it's steam last season. If it can get going again and be consistently funny and good without pushing a political agenda down my throat every episode then I might watch this again regularly. Right now, I read reviews and watch it on Hulu if it is good.
