What the hell Sunday's episode proved everything that's wrong with the show currently. NO ONE is likeable anymore. The whole family covering up the baby's critical condition? Geez. I remember a time when these characters were likeable and funny.

Now they are just asses.

Is the show as good as it was back in the days? No.

But I still think the show is f'ing awesome. I'm definitely gonna hate it when the show comes to an end.

But what can I say, I still enjoy The Simpsons too.

Season 20 got me back into "The Simpsons". For me that was the season that the writers stopped trying to compete with Family Guy and American Dad with crude humor and simple plots and got back to what once made the show great...self-contained intimate storylines with a sweet message at the end.

Some favorites the past two years have to be the episode of Moe dating a little person and savoring that short period of happiness he had with her (I love Moe's closing line, "Who knew such a little woman could make a man feel so big." . A recent episode where Bart comes to the realization that the reason he does what he does is simply for his parents acknowlegement and attention and without that, causing trouble is simply pointless. Even last Sunday's episode where Flanders takes Homer along on his trip to Jerusalum before losing his faith deciding that Homer just isn't worth saving, only to have his faith restored by episodes end. THIS is why I love the Simpsons.

Obviously its no where near the classic seasons BUT, its at a point now where I find myself setting my tv to record episodes of the Simpsons so I can catch them later on...something I haven't done in a while.

...Family Guy? Well it is what it is and I am a fan. They're no where as deep as the Simpsons but its good for what it is...cheap laughs.

I actually liked the last episode.

dont you just wish they would get kidnapped and made to work in the temple of doom.
classic

The Last Couples Years I think the Simpson's has been pretty good...for a long while it was unbearable to watch...for me anyways...

Wow. The new episode was just... awful. I kept waiting for something to happen, but it didn't. I mean, it was actually difficult to watch.

If Seth McFarlane wants to experiment with a serious character piece or sing showtunes, he should get a show on Broadway or something, not drag what was once the funniest show on TV down anymore.

After this episode, I don't even think I'd care if the show got cancelled, which sad, because I used to love it.

Last night's episode: What.....the.....f***?

The [blackout]suicide[/blackout] part was kind of...sad. But nah, watching that episode reminded me why I stopped watching it in the first place.

Last night's episode was PAINFUL 45 minutes of Brian and Stewie trapped in a vault without a single joke. Fox is paying McFarlane $100 million for crap like this? WTF???
If I were Rupert Murdoch I'd be getting a refund from Seth. If this is what the next 150 episodes are gonna look like, Please cancel this show now.

I have two words for Fox regarding The Simpsons and Family Guy: SERIES FINALE.

I think Seth was trying to experiment with how far he could go before the censors stepped in. Anyone else think it was borderline child porn when Stewie asked Brian to wipe his a** with his tongue ?

I didn't think anything but "Damn, I'm thirsty" *pauses stream, goes gets a pop and comes back forgetting about the show*

Now, was that REALLY hard, FG writers? Actually bothering to write a touching, well-written (if unusual) episode without relying on crappy cutaways, tired jokes, and bad toilet humor.

And for those overreacting and freaking out about if the show will continue like this: it won't. It was a "Very Special" episode for the 150th episode, and it will go back to comedy the next time.

...well I found it oddly entertaining.

It was some attempt at a character study so props for at least trying it.

This episode was one my favorites of the show, and definitely my favorite of the past few seasons. It's about time they actually write an episode that has a story and doesn't deviate from it for some gag that isn't funny, makes no sense, and doesn't advance the plot at all. It reminded me why I even liked this show in the first place, the characters. I really liked this character study type of episode, and while it can't happen every week it was a great change of pace.

I don't see how someone can say there was nothing funny or no joke... Stewie using their only call to talk about a bad movie and a sweater, the whole poop/vomit thing, the bullet ricocheting far longer than scientifically possible, a drunk baby dancing, Stewie trying to entice Brian with creepy yoga poses, the ear piercing... all seemed like jokes to me. They just actually put effort into into telling a story, examining characters, and having them actually interact without some absurdly stupid incident every 2 minutes to distract from it like in every other episode.

I'm with the supporters of this episode. I liked that this had it's funny moments without having to resort to a cut away with a stupid gag every 5 minutes, and had some heart in there as well.

I liked it a lot. He's done some interesting stuff with Brian this season, which is made all the more interesting when you consider Brian is supposedly sorta him.

Embarassing, it was.

I laughed at Brian's minute-long puke session. :o
