What Happend to Family Guy?

I thought it was better than the season premiere. I laughed at a few jokes. Especially The Office ones since I agree, they have been kind of sucky lately.

But Family Guy has been kinda sucky lately as in the past few seasons. I quit watching this show:(

Family Guy need their witty humor back. Its just not that funny anymore, I think they try to hard and then it ends up failing big time

Sunday's episode was incredibly hard to watch. There's always American Dad though.

I'll be damned. I actually laughed at "Family Guy" tonight. Mainly the limo joust and the French siren jokes.

They've been using a lot of computer graphics lately. Say what you want about the content, but animation-wise, they're leading the pack.

I haven't watched the show in over a year, but just finished viewing the banned episode and thought it was great. I laugh at all the cruel and obscene crap they get away with airing and then have this restricted.

I've hated most of what I've seen of the last few seasons, but a friend showed me the banned episode and it was actually decent. It didn't inspire me to start watching the show again, but I have to give credit where it's due--this was the only time Family Guy tried to have a message about an issue and didn't completely fall flat.

I think Fox was too scared to air a show about abortion, because the jokes were of comparable tastelessness to what they put on TV. Unless the whole "banned episode thing" was just a way to sell more DVDs.

From what I understand, at its "heart" Fox has a hard conservative bottom line, and regardless of how contradictory most of its shows might be to the values they're ostensibly for, this was something they couldn't allow themselves to sympatize with for a second as it is a hot issue.

Then again it also is a nice way to cash in.

Yeah American Dad had me laughing within the first minute. I'm suprised that show doesn't have its own thread. It's one of the few shows on television that isn't just a carbon copy of the creator's original success *eyeballs The Cleaveland Show*

I just saw It's A Trap!

Probably the funniest one of the three.

So I plan on watching this Bob's Burgers later. Hopefully it's funny and then can actually stick around in the line-up. H. Jon Benjamin does the main guy's voice so that's a plus.

Watching the first few episodes on Adult Swim last week I felt they were trying to just do Fam Guy 2.0 but American Dad has gotten so much better with time. It's one of my favorite comedies right now, and not just in comparison to Fam Guy either.

People tend to forget (or not realize) that American Dad was greenlit and went into production BEFORE Family Guy was brought back. If FG reruns had not found success on Adult Swim and DVD then AD is all we would have gotten in 2005. So, that's why AD has so much in common with FG. But once FG 2.0 was greenlit, AD was forced to find its new identity.

american dad is better than family guy....

Roger Smith is probably Seth Macfarlane's greatest character creation.
