Well I saw your question a couple hours back and have been racking my brain to see if I can ever remember a time when they met, and as of now I have nothing. If they did meet though and Iron Man didn't know he would run into Magneto his armor would be ripped off.

Iron Man has fought Magneto I believe(I heard anyway) and he beat him by some sort of reversed polarity(that old gag) whatchamahootiz with his armor. Don't know what comic or issue though.

They have a mutually respectful relationship. I've got a one-shot story, somewhere where Eric goes to Doom's castle and there's they have this mutant girl there, who's powers can do something to the effect that would bring them both down a peg, if I can remember.

It's an origin tale where the two talk at length about how they got to this point and all the while this little mutant girl is being held under her will. Anyway after the both spill there guts, Doom fries the girl's head where she sits. she heard to much. Really an off putting tale, but it's out there.

Iron Man probably has non-ferrous armor, meaning Magneto can't do anything to him except look elsewhere for metal to throw.

I don't follow his books as I use too but do recall him mention in one book he fixed his suit to keep Magneto from using it against him

Iron Man would lose, unless he had a Mags nullifying suit (which I wouldn't doubt he'd keep locked up somewhere). As for Doom and Magneto, if I remember correctly, Doom released a gas in the Earth's atmosphere that made him be able to control everyone's mind, so he could take over the world. He challenged Magneto and beat his ass. He eventually had to take his own mask off and breathed in that gas, due to Ghost Rider overheating his mask. Because he breathed his own gas, he couldn't control people anymore.

Magneto would destroy Iron Man. Magneto would rip Iron Man in half with the snap of his fingers.

Even if Iron Man used an impermeable suit, Magneto could stop anything Iron Man tries to dish out simply by use his magnetic force fields.

If Magneto couldn't control Iron Man's armor, he'd use his mind to lift the nearest 40 ton 18 wheeler and demolish him with it.

But on the other hand, not even Magneto could defeat Doom. The Doc is the ultimate bad guy.

I think it depends on the Armor that Tony is wearing. If he has some sort of Defense agaisnt magnetic powers (im sure i read somehwere he has something that can protect him from magnetism) then Iron Man would win.

Iron Man and Magneto fought each other in the issues of the West Coast Avengers back in the 80's, Iron Man won by reversing the polarity of his armor which deflected Magneto's powers, Iron Man then knocked Mag's into a chimney stack.
I don't remember which issue of West Coast Avengers that was, I'll need to check.
