What if the ALIEN franchise had gone differently?

Even though Goreman wasn't one of the most likeable characters compared to Hicks or Velsquez, I actually did like him at hs sacrifice. His line "GO!" just says alot about him. He may be an arrogent prick who is wrong, but he is a good intentioned man.

I agree.

He started off arrogant sure. But I think it was just that he was so inexperienced compared to the troops under him, it was sorta a defense mechanism?

And after the **** storm hits he reigns it in and becomes just one of the grunts.

Exactly.

Plus he gets injured so I think he startes to realize what is really at stake.

I always loved it when HIcks slept through the drop...

"Somebody wake up Hicks!"

Apone is the MAN.

"Alright everybody, *******s and elbows! Hudson come here. Come here!"

Then you could also say Ripley caused them all to die, becaus she gave them the coordinates of the alien wreckage.
you point the finger back far enough you can blame a cell for splitting.

Yea yea Apone was sick.

"Ahhhh, absolute bad asses, let's pack em in, get in there!"

But when Hudson's last stand is my favourite bit of the movie. He's all whinging and panicky when they realize they are trapped there, then all of a sudden he goes into some bad ass overdrive.

watched both discs last night.... started off with the pre-production diaries, then the productions... then the post production... then watched the film,.... then watched the "reaction" part of the post production diaries.....
I then watched the Alien Legacy docu.....

6 hours dedicated to Aliens... and if any of you girls back out last night, and didn't watch it.... your going down

Well, the truth is.... if Vasquez and Drake didn't shoot their Smart Guns inside the main reactor, it would have never blown up.... but then again, I guess that wouldn't have mattered.....

Or freaking Spunkmyer, why was he getting coffee or something on the other side of the facility... they should have just stayed in the craft, and waited for evac... but no... dude had to take a piss or get some coffee...

It was the landing ship crash that set the reactors off wasn't it? Bishop mentions it took too much damage in the crash to be repaired.

no, the crash damage teh communication link, so he had to crawl to the other side, patch in manually and remote access the drop ship.

Sgt. Apone was THE MAN!!!

And yeah I love Hudson's last stand as they were fending off those incoming aliens. One of the best scenes in the movie.

Something in the floor, underneath the plant, I don't know

15 Meters.

Definitely inside the barricades.

12 meters.

http://forums.superherohype.com/name/nm0000244/That's right outside the door. Hicks, Vasquez get back.

Man, this is a big fackin' signal.

There right on us.
Remember, short controlled bursts.

9 meters, 7, 6.

That can't be, that's inside the room.

It's reading right man, look.

Then, "you're" not reading it right.

5 meters, man. 4, what the hell?

HAHA SICK. And when they suddenly realize the aliens are above em. dun dun dunnnnnnn

Okay, look. What if that ship didn't even exist? Did you ever think about that, I didn't know! So, now, if I went and made a major security situation out of it, everybody steps in; Administration steps in, and there's no exclusive rights for anybody, nobody wins! So I made a decision, and it was... wrong. It was a bad call, Ripley. It was a bad call

Ahhh Burke was such a slimeball.

"I say we grease this rat **** sonova ***** right now!"

Just watched the Extended Cut of Alien 3. And I gotta say, it is much, much different that the theatrical cut.

I heard before about the Alien coming out of the cow, but there is TONS more different than that.

A lot more development for Dillon, 85, Morse and Gollic for starters.

Most notably, Gollic the guy who witnessed the first attack by the alien, held in the infirmary right? Well just before Clemons is killed he starts talking to both Ripley and Clemons. And as he witnesses the alien kill Clemons he says "It's beautiful". The crazy bastard comes to worship the alien

Also, you know the part where they attempt to burn the Alien out of the tunnels so they can trap it? Well they actually succeed. Yes they DO trap it.

Morse is shaving his head in the infirmary and Gollic starts begging him to let him free. Saying that they now know it wasn't him who killed those other guys. Morse sets him free only for Gollic to knock him out from behind.

Gollic then goes to the toxic waste dump where the alien is being held and releases it.

And you guys know the prisoner with the tear tattoo who tries to rape Ripley? He sacrifices himself to lure the Alien into the toxic dump. He actually squares up to the alien and runs into the dump which makes it follow. You hear his blood curdled screams as they lock the doors, trapping the alien inside.

So for you guys feeling that the inmates were pointless, uninteresting, no redeeming qualities or didn't really have any development, I strongly recommend watching the Extended Cut.
