The Alien Movies

Love Alien and Aliens.
I consider them one of the best horror/action movies ever made, respectively.
Agreed.

I haven't seen 3, but I thought Resurrection was OK.

Just finished watching these. Gave Alien and Aliens 3 1/2, and Alien 3 and Resurrection 2 1/2.

Who else thinks that stupid alien/human hybrid is the stupidest thing to ever grace the silver screen? That thing is so god damn stupid, what a crappy idea.

I'm hoping the rumored Alien prequel isn't about Ripley, but about someone who encountered the species before Ripley.

A prequel with Ripley wouldn't be a prequel unless it was solely about her. There's no way you could have her in an Alien prequel encountering aliens without it being a remake. Maybe if she shows up on the planet at the end to allude to the first movie, but after that you're basically remaking the first movie. I like the character, but I think they should leave her out if it's to be a prequel.

Definitely. I think a Ripley movie without aliens in it would be boring as hell.

Personally, the only Alien movie I want to see now is one with Predators in it, but in the Alien timeline, and set in space dammit!!!

That said, I like only the first three Alien films. Resurrection was crap, aside from some cool moments like Brad Dourif (heh), swimming Aliens, an Alien bursting through the water and latching to a ladder, that panicky guy who's always great at being panicky, and a chestburster going through another guy's head. ;)

I just don't know how FOX was able to screw up this franchise, the Predator franchise, and a potential AvP franchise all at the same time. I mean it takes talent to screw up 3 franchises! How the hell do you screw up AvP when there are already DarkHorse comic books and two successful AvP PC games? How is that possible? Does no one at FOX have even an ounce of common sense???

They sewed Deadpool's mouth shut.

DEADPOOL.

That may be all the answer we need.

Alien is one of those franchises that does. not. know. when. to. quit. IMO

I was extremely put off by Newt's autopsy though.

**shudders**
Hey, that's young David Fincher for you. Let's not forget Se7en.

I still think not enough people give Alien 3 a chance because it is soooo different than what people thought would happen after the 2nd movie.

I love Se7en, but still, watching that scene is extremely uncomfortable, and unnecessary. imo.

nvm, it's not as bad as I though.

For some reason, I had recalled the autopsy scene being a lot more graphic than it was, I just popped it in the DVD player.

Haven't watched it in a long time.

if they do a prequel I want it to be about the alien ship that crashed on the planet Ripley first goes to in Alien
