I'm hearing this stuff about a love triangle with SS, IW, and Mr.F

All i have to say is WTF?

lol sorry

but is this really true?

I mean if it was Namor then maybe i would of said ok cool, but SS?

So im curios how does everyone else feel about this?

Since JA made the comments before they even had a script, I don't think it's worth a lot of thought.

ss macin it with jessica alba makes him even cooler :D

I am really digging on the love triangle thing. :)
My wife is as well. It sounds great and it's actually believable. I could easily see Sue falling for a cosmic being filled with mystery. Reed will have to push hard to win her completely and marry her.

Pretty disgusting and completely innaccurate if it's true.

I hope this is wrong, but if it is, then it's the first step towards the second FF movie being as bad as the first. Which is saying something.

Can't they EVER get things right? Is it too much to ask that they actually RESPECT the source material?

I hated it when I first heard it too. I am hoping Alba just didn't know exactly what she was talking about.

I have no problem with them putting Sue in Alicia's shoes, as it were, in regards to the Surfer. But Alicia merely tried to understand and empathize with Galactus' herald. She did not have feelings for him. Of course, Ben misunderstood the situation, and there was your "love traingle."

If they play this out with Sue and Reed instead, it better be handled much the same way.

I really don't think we're going to see any Surfer/Sue smooches.

Yeah, I'd be okay with them doing that, although having Alicia try to understand him was more moving because she didn't have powers herself and was in fact handicapped. But I doubt they'd ever give Kelly Washington that much screentime. Alicia's appeals to the Surfer are what opened his eyes to how wrong Galactus was.

I'm hoping it isn't a 'love triangle' in the traditional sense. As mentioned, something analogous to the Alicia-Surfer relationship in the comics would be fine, but Alba's comments lead me to believe it's more than that. They barely touched on the Sue-Reed relationship in the first movie and focusing on elements that further take away from that dynamic is a mistake. It just seems like another superficial Hollywood plot device where it's really not needed.

The original also emphasizes Ben's insecurity. Reed should be confident and self-assured in this one based on Don Payne's comments . . . but since it seems unlikely that the rumor is true and since if it is true, it could refer to anything (including the original speculation that the "other man" is Franklin) it doesn't seem worth a lot of thought at this point.
