Can someone explain what is Ultimate Spider-Man and Ultimate X-Men. Whats the difference?

They are set in the Ultimate Universe, a retelling in our time of the characters.

I havent read UXM in a while so i cant say how good that is at the moment but I used to like it. USM IMO has been very good throughout even though we have had to read through a few less than brilliant arc. Plus its onto the Ultimate Clone Saga now which will hopefully be great.

A few years ago marvel created a seperate line of comics called the Ultimate line. These do not take place in the sameuniverse as the normal comics, and were made as a reimagining of the characters for a new generation. The events of these books are not in the same continuity as the regular marvel books like Amazing Spider-Man and Uncanny X-Men.

just think spider-man but Ultimate Spider-man and you got it
the same goes with X-men and Fantastic Four

You're sooo helpful.

Wow that doesnt make any sense :o :down

I have to agree, I was new to comics when I started collecting USM it got me hooked I got the first 6 or so grpahic novels and read through them quite fast, I have been reading all the issues after I caught up maybe 1.5-2 years ago hard to remember... There have been some that I have thought that have not been as good but I got hooked at the begining.

I have the last 4 issues and havent read them yet, to many other books. I mainly only read ASM, MKSM, now civil war, frontline and TMNT which got me interested in comics.
