Movie trailers are created to get the audience excited about an upcoming film. Which ones do think did the best job of making you want to see that movie and watch the trailer over and over again.

My favorite would have to be Sin City and Star Wars episode 3

War of the Worlds full trailer.

Hulk teaser, Spider-Man, The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy

Ok ..........

The Phantom Menace trailer was incredible, agree on Sin City.

Going back a few years the ones that stick in my mind are the teaser trailers for Godzilla and the final trailer for Die Hard 3.

A Scanner Darkly
Waking Life
I <3 Huckabees
Alpha Dog
Brick
The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy (say what you want about the movie, that one trailer where it had the Guide's entry for moive trailers perfectly captured the spirit of the books)
MirrorMask
Superman Returns
Pan's Labyrinth
Old Boy

Sin City
Jurassic Park (I love how it kept the dinosaurs secret and didn't show them)
Batman Returns, "Above Gotham looms it's greatest hero", then the bat logo with snow blowing on it was so cool.

Spider-man teaser the WTC one (better than the film)

Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire teaser.

Sin City

Clerks 2

WOTW
1st SM1 trailer w/ the WTC
All of the LOTR trailers
POTC
X-Men 1

The teaser for the first Batman film rules all.

Terminator 2
Batman Begins
War of The Worlds(Theatrical Trailer)
X2
X3
Superman Returns
Spider-Man 2
The Omen
Silent Hill

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (teaser)
X2
X3
Superman Returns
Casino Royale (teaser)
Revenge of The Sith (teaser) and trailer.
War of the Worlds. (the scene with the bridge falling made me have a geekasm)

New movies: PotC 2, X3

Of the past: Jurrassic Park "An adventure 65 million years in the making"

Is it just me, or is any trailer more that 20ish years old terrible? I'll watch them on DVDs, and wonder if that actually caused anyone to want to see it. Case in point: Raiders of the Lost Arc has one of the least interesting trailers I've ever seen. I love the movie, but still.

If you are a fan of Predator, you definitely will not like the trailer for it.

Spider-Man 1 & 2
Freddy Vs. Jason
Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith "Rise Lord Vader"
King Kong 2005

Silent Hill, it actually made me think it was going to be good.

Good thing, because it was. But, that's another discussion for another thread.

The Day After Tomorrow
The Texas Chainsaw Massacere('03)
War of the Worlds
Silent Hill
Spider-man

And that's all I can think of for the moment.

-Spider-Man
-Spider-Man 2
-X-Men 2
-X-Men 3
-Star Wars Revenge of the Sith
-King Kong(Peter Jackson)
-Sin City
-Batman Begins

Everytime I see the Goodfellas trailer I want to see the movie again. Same with the Casino trailer.
