Umm "African American?" You know not all black people are Americans, right?

I doubt that there’s that many people from Kenya who have internet access. Also, I’ll call a back person African American someone’s stupid enough to call me “European American”. Since when did black become an insult?

There are plenty of people from the continent of Africa that have internet access. Not only that but there are black people who were born and raised in Britain, Australia, or any place really. Just say black.

Since when did Australia have a sizeable African population? That’s news to me…

Damn, I wish this were multiple choice though, I do have some Native American and some microscopic amount of Hispanic in me. I’m mostly white so oh well…

I'm multi-racial. And that's how I likes my womenses too

Why does it matter what percent it is? The point is there are black people ALL over the world not just America. If you're going to make a thread like this it should be worded so that it's inclusive no matter what country your from. An "asian" is an "asian" regardless of whether they're from Japan or Germany. an "african american" implies that they are only from America.

True....they (Australian Aborigines) are traced back 30,000 years to Asia, who's to say that they did not migrate from Africa. BUT, I have never heard of them being considered black in Australia.....they are considered Australian Aborigines or Indigeneous Peoples....

Ethnic groups
  • European - 89.3%
  • Asian - 5.1% (mainly Chinese, Filipino, Vietnamese)
  • Middle Eastern - 1.2% (mainly Lebanese, Turkish)
  • South Asian - 1.6% (mainly Indian, Sinhalese)
  • Aboriginal - 2.3%
  • Maori - 0.5%
  • Latino - 0.2%
This is what you will find in Australia.......Blacks/African Australian is not found....

Dude, it's not that complicated. It doesn't matter how many there are. There could be 2 or there could be 2 million. The point is that there ARE black Australians who's families somewhere down the line immigrated to Australia from Africa just like any other country, and those people are CERTAINLY not Americans, so they can't be classified as African Americans.
