WHat the heck is the deal with these pop ups at the top?

Can we please try to put an end to these ads at the top of the screen from expanding to take up half my monitor space... I mean just as I am about to click on one of the forums or threads these ads expand and I click on that instead. Get rid of that garbage... thanks.

Yeah I figure I'd get that... but seriously just get more sponders... why the heck do these people demand that theirs ads need to expand 5x so people can see them? I mean they are visible as it is...
