I keep hearing this catchphrase being tossed around in the media, and there is even a new MTV show called Bromance coming out, which I would rather not get the gist of. Apparently the online definition is the inseparable bond between two heterosexual males. OK. Is this the first new 2009 saying that is getting old before its time?

Yep.

Seth Rogen and James Franco in Pineapple Express has been referred to as a Bromance.

I don't really care for the term but I don't hear it often enough to care.

This thread is the first time I've EVER heard of it, and I'm ALREADY bored of it.

That word has been around for a while now. It's basically 1 of 2 things depending on the people involved. It's usually 2 guys who are bffs, do everything together(Lance Armstrong/Matthew McCona...whatever) like some girls do.

...or it's just a lead up to getting horizontal, either way.

Jay of Jay and Silent Bob defined it best: "heterosexual lifemate"

Its just a stupid saying for best friends. Its no more stupid than "mad money" or "fo-shizzle." I'd actually take bromance over fo-schizzle no problem.

Its slang. Only a few people of the population use it and only half of them actually like it. Its how slang works.q

I saw the promo for the MTV show. Looked pretty gay.

It's a way for gay guy(s) try and conceal their gayness until they're ready to come out of the closet.

MTV has nothing worth any substance and is one of the worst networks on cable.

The Apatow guys already did a movie about this, remember Superbad. That movie actually proves my point, both lead character were gay for each other, but trying to hide it.

Then you must be the person who reviewed it and said they were gay. Cause on the commentary Rogen said someone writter said that. lol.

Bromance is one of the stupidest newer words I've heard in a long time. I'm going to stick with calling it "Friendship".

I've only been hearing this phrase for the past couple of weeks, and I hate it already.

It's called "best friends." The phrase never went out of style. Learn it, live it, love it.

Bromance sounds about as bad as "Frienemies"
