Just wondering because I've never done this before. Got my midnight IMAX tickets and I want to get one of the best seats in the house. I'm wondering around what time I should show up. Was thinking 5pm-7pm. Is this ok?

It was select-a-seat when I bought my tickets so I don't have to worry about getting a good seat. I'm sitting in the middle of the theater. I could show up at 11:59 if I wanted to and be fine, but I'll probably end up getting there at around 10:30-11:00 out of sheer impatience.

That should be plenty early. I'm Thinking 8-9 for our group and I'm not worried

3:30 PM for the NYC Lincoln Square IMAX Midnight Show.

Yeah, if I were going to that one I'd have to call in sick from work that day just to go stand in line. Didn't that sell out back in December?

To my surprise, not very early this time since our theater has assigned seating. There's really no need to be super early, although I will be showing up somewhat early just to take in the experience. After all, this is Nolan's last bat flick.

Yeah, I bought my tickets on 12/30.

If you don't have reserved seating like me, show up a couple hours early, around 10. Every midnight show on Imax I've gotten good seats in the middle.

Even if you don't have reserve seating you need to show up earlier than 10. By that time there's a good chance people would have already been seated. Especially for IMAX since most of the people seeing that are the big fans.

I've always gotten there around 10 and never had a problem. My local Imax theater is a full size one and has a lot of seats so that may be why. Either that or I'm just lucky.

My brother and I are getting there at 8, he's even thinking of bringing his Hot Toys Batman along!

thats so friggin awesome. I decided to go the next day at 4 instead of midnight because I'm betting this film will be lengthy and I dont want my sleepyness to ruin this last Nolan-Bat film.

I had to show up for midnight TDK IMAX at 9:30. And the theater was still half-full.

Same here. Its going to be a very long day that day.

that it is

after the movie i'm going home to take a quick shower, change clothes, and off to work

i'm planning on taking off early from work that day though, so most of Friday afternoon & night i'll be passed out :oldrazz:

I have to be there by at least 8:00pm because I got the superhero pack featuring both Amazing Spiderman and TDKR (anyone else's IMAX theater offering this deal?). Sheesh, I'm going to be super tired the next day (not good work day guaranteed), not to mention I'm going to try to not see TAS until July 20th (if by some crazy chance it sucks and I wouldn't wanna see it a 2nd time around). :word:

Yeah, I'm going to see this movie with my best friends back home, which is 1.5 hours from my current location.

I'll get out around 3AM EST, 2AM CST (where I'm at in Northwest Indiana)... be home around 3:30AM CST... and I have to work at noon. :csad:

True that, John. I'll probably get home between 3:30am-4am, and I have to be at work by 8:30am! :waa:

Assigned seating so probably head down with a bunch of friends around 10 something. Hang out for a bit, take in the experience as others have said. 4 years ago it wasn't assigned seating so we were waiting in line for a while but i just want to be around the area to soak it all in. Don't want to just arrive in time for the movie. The hype is gonna put butterflies in my stomach! love being a fanboy
