Anybody has an idea when advanced tickets will be on sale for the midnight showings?
It will be cool if we can keep this thread up with updates of different movie theaters around the US and their advanced sales schedules.
peace.:yay:

I'm thinking the tickets for the midnight screenings will probably be on sale anywhere from 2 months to 1 1/2 months before TDKR opens. That's usually when most theatres open up sales for opening week for a release as big as this. All I know is as soon as sales go on I am buying tickets immediately.

NYC Lincoln Square IMAX went on sale way back and is already sold out for midnight

I've never been to a midnight showing. Guess I'm just not hardcore enough.

Anyone planning on going to the Reading IMAX in Mass for the premiere?
I e-mailed them a few weeks ago and they told me that tickets generally go up 3-4 weeks before a movie comes out.
So I assume sometime in mid-late June.

I have two IMAX theaters near me. The one in Atlantic City (Tropicana) has details about the synopsis and what dates it'll be playing through but no info on ticket sales. The second theater, Tuttleman in Philadelphia, PA doesn't have any info on TDKR at all-- which I find kind of strange.

Yeah if you were in NYC or LA, midnight showings sold out loooong ago. :oldrazz:

In in LA, and the closest one is the Rave 18 IMAX theatre, I've been checking every other day, but no option to buy midnight tickets yet :-/

the closest one to me is like 2hrs away but...I`m gonna have to make it to that midnight review. The only film I`ve seen in imax is "Inception", which blew my mind to shreds.

That wasn't even filmed specifically for IMAX.
You my friend are in for a spectacle.

Oh sh**!!! haha:wow:

But wait...how was it not? Weren`t certain scenes filmed with IMAX cameras, just like the dark knight/the dark knight rises?

I'm absolutely sure some LA peeps were able to buy them at that theater. One of them just told me they were sold out since the middle of January. :o

They'll definitely do 3am screenings if the demand is there though.

Nope. They shot some of the scenes with a 65mm camera, but it's still not IMAX. They specifically wanted to do most of it handheld, and the IMAX camera is just too heavy for that.

yeah, i just called rave 18, midnight showing is sold out... oh well.

I've checked the theater at Arizona Mills countless times, still nothing :cmad:

My nearest theatre has the 2nd largest IMAX screen in Canada, and I know the manager.
He's putting aside tickets for me the second it comes out!

AND chances are, I'll be able to sit through the Pre screening! :D

I checked the IMAX in Milford CT and there not available yet

Where exactly? ;)

I'm going to be in the DC area on that week in July. I plan on catching it at the Airbus Imax theater. Evidently it's a true 15 perf screen. Anyone watched an Imax film there?
