What Type Of Writer Are You?

I thgink I'm best at wrtiting action and my dialouge and grammer need a lot of work lol.

Don't fret, kamillon. Those are the things tha improve with practice. It is also helpful if you read a lot. When you see how other people write you can learn by imitation. :)

Mostly I like the idea of being able to mix high culture with low culture. I'm not necessarily into writing a pretentious art movie, and I'm not into writing an explosion-filled action movie, but if you can create a hybrid of the two in which you get the intellectual and philosophical message while still being entertaining on a more visceral, immediate level?

That's what I look for.

Yeah, that's kind-of what I'm doing with my novel--it's a mix of pulp/noir mystery and philosophical breaking down and bringing back of the main character--with some cool action and comedy mixed in, of course. :)

i perfer comics and screenplays they're both very fluent and powerful to a reader

I'm very good at describing events happening; I''m bad at depicting them as they happen. Very little dialogue in things I write. Generally, the narrator is third person, omniscient, because I write when I'm bored, and I'm bored when it's one in the morning, so I don't put that much effort into it. Eh.

I aspire to being a great graphic novelist one day, but for the time being I just write for the fun of it. My friends say I do great dialogue and action scenes. They really believe in me. Though most times I'm my oen worst critic.

Anyway, my writing style consist of always leaving the reader wanting more.
I found that style works best, as most successful comics also follow that motto. Build up something, leave it open ended, then dragg it out until you finish it in an epic conclusion at a later time.

I'm not sure, but I also think I'm okay at writing novels. Not sure, though.
But on gamefacts.com many people seem to enjoy my continuing story-
"The ultimate battle!Mickey vs Yoda!" on the Kingdom Hearts thread.
People have given me good feedback, but I'm only on part5 of the story.

...damn... i thought this thread died...

I write scripts ( with Movie Magic Screenwriter ). I'm best at writing fight scenes. I am getting a little better with dialouge and character development.

On a side note, I would rather write a PG-13 script than a R or NC-17 script. With a PG-13 script, I feel you (as the writer) need to focus more on the story, dialouge, and character development. It's just more of a challenge to me.

I've written comics, screenplays, and fictional stories. But no matter what I am writing I put the emphasis on the characters. One of the trickest things I've done is adapted my own comic into a screenplay. Tkaing a series and craming it into two hours while still getting maximum characterization is tough to do. Kudos for those who do it and do it well.

I write comic-style stories fit to be made as a comic (duh) or an animated series. Depending on the story depends on the style. One story I have has almost no action but lots and lots of character interaction, development, and the like. My main story focuses mainly on character and story development.

i usually stick to comedy or drama which is why i don't post it on here. but i do like to try sci-fi/horror every once and a while. my stuff is also pretty dialogue heavy. right now i'm working on a script that basically says eveything i have to say about high school, since i just graduated last month.
my characters are usually based on people i know or certain aspects of people i know.

I began way back when with short stories and poems. Then I began ficcing, and expanded to novella length stories. I wrote one screenplay. And I'm laying some groundwork for a professional character submission.

I seem to be best at writing suspense with a bit of action, sci-fi, and romance thrown in for good measure. I also have dabbled in writing horror.
