Not a bad sequel but it also didn't contribute much outside the twist of what was happening. The ending setting up a sequel is unfortunate because there are no plans for it.

Jessica Rothe really sells this franchise though. She plays it perfect.

Better than I remembered. Mostly. Still have those WTF idiots for scientists and "professionals" that do stupid things to advance the plot. The movie tried to be two different things; an Alien prequel and some other sci-fi-horror movie unrelated to Alien and it didn't do too well at either. Had they chosen to lean into one or the other it would have been a better movie.

There are 5 movies in the MYTHICA series. Think of it as a low budget LORD OF THE RINGS. Through the series there are ogres, orcs, dragons, wizards and zombies. They need to be watched in order because it is one long story broken up into 5 movies. The acting ranges from good to OK.....the costuming is very good.....the fights range from good to fair.....the FX range from very good (the dragon) to fair (some of the wizard effects look like they were hastily done)....the scenery is very beautiful. As is shown in the behind the scenes extras, it was filmed in Utah with snowcapped mountains, vast sand dunes, forests, and the Bonneville Salt Flats (when they are flooded, from ankle to knee deep, in mountain rain runoff),

Most of the actors are unknown (even though many have long listings on their IMDB pages)....Kevin Sorbo appears in all 5 movies. His time in the movies range from around a 5 minute cameo to a 15 to 20 minute supporting part. In the last film Kristian Nairn who played Hodor in GAME OF THRONES shows up as "The God of the Forge". Overall acessment.....interesting, worth watching when you have some time on your hands.
