ATTACK OF THE CLONES
QUALITY = 6/10

JOY = 7/10

Fun action and funny lines of hokey dialogue and entertaining hokey acting removed, this will be a pretty bland and dull film.

The things Owen learns here about Obi Wan and C3PO makes him a jerk in wanting to erase the droids memories in the original film.

Obi Wan is not sassy enough in this movie, and Hayden Christensen with his bad acting and whiny attitude makes me think of what the Nostalgia Critic described Robin in Batman & Robin like with his neeny wheeny dialogue.

@Wheels I'm sorry, I like this movie less than I used to.

EDIT: Oh yeah, that child Bobba Fett actor is brilliant at pretending to be an actor, I almost believed he was trying to be one.

Anakin was appointed to protect senator Padme, but once she fell off the ship as they were chasing count Dooku it was personal feelings and forget that mission Ani, do as I tell you.

A movie with this title that deserves it only during the last 15 minutes, and I guess you can say they subverted expectations by making clones attack the enemy.

Welp, Rick Famuyiwa's The Flash is now officially one of the saddest unmade superhero films for me - his style and aesthetics would've been perfect. Imagine the gorgeous, vibrant colours and that fantastic pacing.

This movie is great is what I'm saying. Not sure how I'm so late to the party on this one.

Such an underrated, inventive and fun animation/live-action hybrid. I've never had any problems with the gross-out humour, either. It fits the story and world-building (and is balanced by the underlying sweetness). It's also strangely relevant these days. And the animation is tremendous!

Unstoppable

Another movie deserving of (even) more praise (than it already got): Tony Scott left us with his best work in years. Fast-paced, tense, and with an eye on the human beings which inhabit in the story. Highly recommended!

REVENGE OF THE SITH
QUALITY = 7/10

JOY = 8.5/10

Certainly an improvement in dialogue and pacing, but it still has a certain amount of issues like making Padme lose the will to fight just because she's sad, and Anakin turns wild and evil just because.

Whatever negative points you have with the prequels, you should admire the excellent camera work and framing that accompanies fun action, no resort to wild jump cuts, and no shaky camera, the camera slides beautifully and wonderfully. I really dislike shaky cam and abrupt jump cuts. Cinematographers and editors of action movies should learn from the ones who worked on these films.

Wanted to love this. Really didn't. JGL is great and it's an obviously impressive accomplishment for a first time director working with a limited budget but the whole noir pastiche dialogue thing just... Took me out of it, especially since almost none of the cast outside of JGL are good enough actors to deliver it well. At first I thought it was a cool idea, and there are some great lines, but about halfway through it started grating on me and feeling like an unnecessary, distracting flourish that made it feel more like a parody than a story to be engaged with seriously.
