A Walk Among the Tombstones
Out of all the disposable action films Liam Neeson was making post Taken, this stands alongside The Grey as exceptions. Looking at the past reviews, it's a shame this got lumped in with everything else, because this is a high class neo noir with substance from Scott Frank. Once the main titles hit after the opening scene you know you're in for a good movie. It boasts a strong ahead of its time supporting cast with Dan Stevens, Boyd Holbrook and David Harbour as a very creepy serial killer. For anyone in the mood for a gritty, pulpy noir, this delivers.
