Very good movie....one that most people today don't know about. Love that poster....would love to have a copy. I'm a facebook friend with a Frenchman whose grandfather was a train engieneer during the war and worked with the resistance to disrupt the train scheduals. He loves this movie.

I don't know much about the manga, can't really say but from the stuff I read on wikipedia, it follows the origine of the character and the world settings relatively closely.
If you saw/enjoyed Ghost in the Shell, you will probably like it, but if you're an fan, not sure. Though it seems to be a better adaptation than Ghost in the Shell.

I was entertained, I have a soft spot for cyborg girls and Alita was lovely and kicked ass.
It would have been better to see it in theater ( for the sfx ).
