LEMONY SNICKET'S A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS (2004)
QUALITY = 7.5/10
JOY = 7/10
Most of the fun comes from
Jim Carrey's performance as
Count Olaf, I can't see
Neil Patrick Harris topping him in this role even if I watch all three seasons of the
Netflix show.
The cop is dumb, and
Count Olaf has the magic power of being
Nemesis from
Resident Evil 3 (original) in how he manages to easily track his prey all the way to their next destination they should not be aware of.
NINJA (2009)
QUALITY = snicker
JOY = LMAO
I have only watched 40 minutes of this golden movie, I needed to take a break before watching the rest, and hurry to tell you about it.
Scott Adkins lines sound dubbed by someone else most of the time, except for that one time his character asks about his mother and you hear his voice without changing.
And his character loses fights in training, but when he's in a gun fight he's the only one to get out of it unscathed, and the lady who beat him in dojo training suddenly can't fight while everyone else is fighting. I'd be ok with her being afraid of guns since she was probably never in a gun fight, but neither was
Adkins character, and suddenly she can't fight one of the assassins dressed like
Alex Mercer from [PROTOTYPE] (both this movie and that game came out the same year, what are the odds) close to her face without holding a gun on her, while Adkins is the only survivor in this brawl (of those who fought) other than the girl cause he's the star of this film.
Later detectives enter the crime scene and decide Scott's character and the other guest he came with to this building are the murderers cause they found their passports in the apartment, clean passports, not in a closet, and not even touched by a stain of blood.
