I needed to watch this within the millisecond realizing we'll be getting Statham and Plaza interact in a Guy Ritchie flick. Ritchie's films are mostly highly entertaining IMHO, and always have fun characters. And of course the cast here is great as usual (Cary Elwes was such a great unexpected bonus).

However, this felt more like a standard action comedy without the more cleverly typical quirks one is to expect from Ritchie. The action spectacles was entertaining enough, there's also some very good looking visuals. Still I had higher expectations. This was more just a forward action flick with some humourous lines thrown in. Statham is typical Statham here, and I'll actually never ever complain about that. Cary Elwes did good as well. Aubrey Plaza (who's always ridiculously entertaining even in lesser films) was fine I guess, but I somehow had higher hopes of her character.

The rest of the cast was ok as well. The standout for me was Hugh Grant. Great character and I loved his specific accent here which I don't recall him doing before (cockney/Michael Caine? Teach me, UK friends here lol). Anyhows, this was somehow entertaining but quite far from the usual Ritchie films we've been spoiled with IMHO.

Era Ora (Still Time)

10/10. It resonates so much and so deep. It’s a random gem like this from time to time I would take Netflix over any other streaming service.
