Comic books. They've dominated blockbusters for 11 years now. We've had some great ones and some not so great ones. However, I'm starting to see the wear around the edges. The Captain America trailer is a good example of something that is less about a movie or characters and more about obvious spruiking to get kids to buy happy meals.
So what happens when the comic book movie making craze is over? Will people ever truly be sick of Spider-man reboots every ten years? Will movie producers move onto books or perhaps video games in order to fill seats? Or perhaps relatively new ideas not based on any medium?
What do you think will happen after comic book movies?
In my opinion, I think we'll get something thats less male dominated in terms of entertainment, as media such as 'The Hunger games' and 'Harry Potter' start to break apart the stereotypes of the kind of people who go to blockbusters.
