Has anyone noticed that reed has turned into Mr. Spock-lite? He's basing his side on equations only. The Lee/Kirby Reed was not only smart but he was compassionate too.

They seem to be taking away Reed's human side. I'm not liking that.

well you have to understand that the Reed richards you are reading is really the Man-Thing in disguise, you'll see...

Reed's always been a character who gets caught up in huge moral delemas because, simply, he cares too much. When he has a hard time wraping his head around a specific problem, he goes for the solution that's most logical and practical because that's what makes sense to him.

I agree, because when I read civil war 2, it seemed Reed was baisically being like a computer, and calculating which was the better side to be on, without actually 'thinking' about it.

I look forward to you Captain America

Exactly! His conversation with Ben Urich really brought that out. He sounded more like his arch-enemy The Thinker. I don't like this new Reed.

Gross oversimplification of the character. Reed's a scientist, yes, but he's never been soulless bastard before. If you have any doubt that that's the end of the spectrum CW's moving him towards, I'll kindly point you to the story he tells Spider-Man about his uncle or grandfather or great-uncle or whatever. I'm not the biggest FF fan ever, I admit, but Reed condemning his own relative for not following a law he knows is unjust? That doesn't seem much like Reed to me.

Soulless is a great analogy. Notice how he and Susan are at odds about this??

Yeah, because Sue is acting rationally and Reed has somehow been transmogrified into an uncaring fascist.

He's not uncaring. He was high fiving She-Hulk in CW#2 after beating the giant Doom-bot!!!:o

Reed: We totally pwned that Doombot!
*Reed goes for the high five.*
She-Hulk: Yeah reed, um get away from me.

I really have no idea how extreme things have gotten since I haven't read any new comics in three weeks.

Seems like a lot of the good guys are becoming a-holes over this SHRA!

From the BIG MAN himself:

Man, I can't believe how many people are digging this book. We're getting so many 10/10s it's like someone is punking me. Crossovers are usually hammered, but people are really behind this. So thanks for that.

PS Anyone who thinks Reed is out of character just hasn't read enough FF. One of Reed's more interesting traits is that when he gets obsessed with an idea, he's distracted from everything. It's the flipside of his genius. He's let even SUE down in the past because he's been so focused, hence her heading off for a little Atlantis penis.

^^^^

Keeping in mind Mark has read the entire Stan/Jack and Byrne run.He worships what Byrne did on FF.

Why would a Doombot be attacking in the first place?

That doesn't concern me as much as *shiver* the hi-five scene.

I dont either,he has been portrayed wrong as of late. Its who writes him,Reed is not bad.Its just who uses him, keep that in mind.

Seems like a perfectly reasonable time for villians to mess around with some of their toys, see what can happen.

I'de presonally send everything I could at any of the heros I could find. They're so disorganized with what's going on and what side to be on that they wouoldn't stand half the chance they once did.

I've been letting Reed's attitude slide a bit. Afterall I've seen him change into pretty much Dr. Doom during the Claremont run, but the latest CW pissed me off.

He's chatting with Black Panther and he seems like he doesn't care about JOHNNY BEING IN A COMA!!!

I've loved Reed all my life. No one is a bigger FF Fan than me. But I just wanted to tell Reed to

**** OFF!!!

:ff: :ff: :ff:

Yeah. I mean, even if Reed started acting more like Doom (and really, if they draw that paralell in Civil War, that would be pretty cool), he should still care that Johnny's in a coma. I mean, even Doom cares about his family.
